don’t really want to, but i picked up both a Volcom L & Longo kit that both fit much better.

the pants did have a small blowout below the zipper that i resewed/patched over, and jacket has some decorative patches i’d remove.
Longo Gore from last season. i call it my ski patrol kit 😂

i’ve actually got the “standard” Arthur pants in off-white, too, which I’ll pair with the SHE fleece occasionally.

if you’re not channeling Longo in gear or style somehow, are you really a mid-30’s snowboarder?

Dude what is it with Swedes and cheap fast fashion?

If Montec/Dope wasn't bad enough, H&M is apparently getting into the outerwear game. Saw it pop up on SnowBrain's IG and actually thought it was a joke until I clicked through the link.

They're claiming 24k waterproofing / 15k breathability on a $200 retail jacket currently selling for $140.

No world in which this is a good thing for core industry or the environment.

As far as I know, this is just high fashion at the moment. They wear these clothes when hanging on the corner or buying groceries. It will fade..

I suppose if any company has an excuse to make cheap affordable winter ski gear, it'd be a nordic one?

I'm most disappointed in SnowBrains. They seem like a pretty legit backcountry-focused resource.

iirc snowbrains was started by a guy that ran Unofficial Networks and was ousted when they sold out or something.

Anyone else remember when unofficial networks was a little site where old heads and pow hunters would post the actual 'unofficial' snowfall totals at hills?

Man the comment sections would get spicy. Legit avy experts some of them.

i swore off H&M a long time ago for. regular clothes when I realized how flimsy everything was.
yeah, you can but they’re chino’s at 1/3 of the price, but you’ll end buying another 3 pairs every year when the fall apart.

wouldn’t expect their outerwear to be any better.
midwest is best

H&M is one of the few places my wife and I will pay for baby clothes when we need to supplement gaps from our hand-me-downs. Kids grow so quick it doesn't make sense to invest in nice stuff.

Adults on the other hand should not buy this garbage. It's terrible.
