Heading to Mammoth tomorrow...Nice. June is pretty perfect for beginners. I was in Mammoth on Wednesday and Thursday, and it's prime Spring conditions right now. I camped out on 14 most of the time. If you're eating or drinking on the hill, the Outpost at the base of 14 is a really good vibe. I'm heading back up with the family on Tuesday for the rest of the week, and I'm sure will do at least 1 day at June. Get it. This makes me want to ride so bad. I'm headed up to Tahoe next week for a few days... toddler and newborn makes sneaking away tough, but I'm going to try to sneak out one early morning for some mellow split laps and maybe catch some snowskate laps while my daughter is sledding.
