Let's do a long weekend house swap this winter when there's swell here (can use my quiver). You can get your surf fix, I can get my sitting in i70 traffic fix!

wow, casual tre flip at 1:11 sheesh!

i have yet to get on a pow surfer, i really hope i get the opportunity this season.

i miss surfing dearly living where i do, and curious what this feeling is like vs being strapped in in deep snow...
I met the founder of grassroots at powmow a few seasons ago. coincidentally JG was there too. I like his powsurfers more, instead of wood it's made of some foam/fiberglass composite, so feels lighter and similar to a surfboard as how it flexes when you crank down on the backfoot. but they are L$L expensive, like $1400

love it, maybe one day! probably should meet in person before swapping houses, i could be in shithole in aurora for all you know :D

i am HOPEFULLY going to surf a break in St. Barth's i saw last year but was far too hungover to make the paddle out. reallyyyy nice break a little northwest of Nikki Beach. have a sailing trip in march. also sailing is absolutely amazing, i see myself getting quite deep into this hobby in the coming yeras.

it's possible the wife and i will be doing a month in portugal in the spring as well, so will try and get my fix in then.

yeah, JG uses the same Varial surf foam that some of the limited B surfers were made out of.

I liked the Grassroots boards better than Äsmo, they are less flexible, the contours/channels are not as noticable, they are easier to use in the t-bar, the pad is better. A bit heavier, but it's not bad, and that means they are solid. Feels faster when the terrain is flatter or the snow is a bit chunky.

Haven't tried JG boards.

I just picked up a Drift Boards Oxygen setup. Now I can ditch my snowshoes and don't need a split powsurf. I'm riding a Burton Backseat Driver with the XM leash and Deeluxe Powsurf boots. Got all of this at more than half off so I'm not in too deep yet. With the slow start here in Park City it may be a lonnnggg time before I'm using it anyway.

I have kept my Drift boards around in the hope that I finally get a pow surfer.

Looked dreamy.
Which mountain(s) are they riding?
