Re: Captians log...

Went to June Mountain today with my girlfriend. Wanted to check it out since we were going to be in the area. Cool mountain with a very laid back vibe. Spring is in full swing over here, and the runs were slush by 10:30 am, but it felt good to get on the board again.

Gf is on her fourth day ...

Re: Mammoth Mountain

Planning a trip with my girlfriend for some spring riding at Mammoth over Easter week (April 12-17).

Would be my first time at that mountain, and my girlfriend's second riding trip ever.

Any fun spots to look for at the mountain?

I've seen that the spring park there is a big thing, but I'm ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread

That was a good watch. The fact that the Mothership pumps out 100K boards a year surprised me. I assume that's OEM in addition to Capita. What other brands do they press boards for?

Re: SoCal fires

Sounds like Mountain High escaped with minimal structural damage. Pretty amazing given the footage.

SoCal fires

Man, SoCal mountains are currently getting ass raped by fire. Reports this morning of Mountain High being a total loss, with the outlook for Snow Valley and Mt. Baldy starting to look grim. Fire advancing towards Big Bear, though Snow Summit and Bear aren't in immediate danger yet. Several mountain ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread

Ordered! I forgot that I briefly had a Mercury at the beginning of last season, but it was very meh for me, and I sold it pretty quickly. High hopes for a different experience with this one.

BTW, what part of NC are you in?

Hell yeah, stoked to hear your thoughts on it once you’re able to ...

Can't stop thinking about a Super DOA. I've essentially been riding the same board (Tom Sims Pro/Academy Master 157) for over 5 years, and a slightly more playful but still powerful twin sounds like a fun diversion. Riding Mammoth again tomorrow and Wave Rave has a 156 left at a decent price ...

Re: Captians log...

I track all my bike rides religiously. For the trails I ride regularly racing your own times is a fun way to gamify things. Never even considered doing it for snowboarding, and could even use the same app to do it. 65 mph on a snowboard is goddamn fast. I'd be amazed if I've ever cracked 50.
