Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
I follow the Welcome and Hello YouTube channel where Nakai and friends travel around Japan checking out resorts. I’ve never seen him use the new HPS models with the eco base and recycled sidewalls. He pretty much rides the 23/24 Taka EP. Makes me suspect he doesn’t think much of them? Maybe? Maybe ...

Re: Pay for parking Summit at Snoqualmie
You also need an uphill pass to splitboard in the area and parking is included in the price.
Uphill pass? What is this you speak of? Is this isolated to Snoqualmie only?
Parking is big business and down in Oz they charge either per day ($65) or push you to a car season parking pass. You ...

Re: Euro riders
Pitztal can deliver the goods later in the season when you get the spring storms. Glacial riding. Been there when a metre came down. Glorious.
Sankt Anton and Sölden are crazy good w terrain. I’d rate Anton higher than Sölden, but chase the snow and you’ll be fine.

Re: Japan
Agreed on the resort assessment. You don’t come here for gnarly lines. The backcountry is accessible and the pow turns are good when you’re out there.
I’ve got two little ones and will be doing next Jan for the mellow runs and pow stoke (plus kid friendly pricing). Family trip != crazy shit

Re: Japan
@kimchi now im tempted to pull the trigger myself
You have the added wrinkle of the locals assuming you speak Japanese because you look like them, but it's not that bad 😂
If you got the time off and the funds, just do it. I think Japan is overhyped as a shred destination, but it's still an ...

Re: Expensive Divorce - The Split Thread
Have you had a chance to ride the Tour Operator yet?
Picked up the Amplid Tour Operator as a replacement to my Lib Split Brd.

Unfortunately I need to wait a few months in the southern hemisphere to get this tested out but will give this a spin in the resort.
Had a full day in resort ...
Re: Japan
anyone going to be in the hokkaido area 1/18 to 1/27?
my wife is out of town for a bit and flights are so cheap to japan, a fun opportunity has presented itself!
Hey Yukon,
I'll be in Niseko from the 16th - 25th w/ 3 others and heading to central Hokkaido after that. If you've booked and are ...

Re: Salomon Snowboards
there is a new shape coming next year in the HPS line from Luke Lund. I saw a peak of it on IG recently, i'll see if I can track the post down.
looked like a cross between Louif's & the Taka as far as overall shape goes. I'll hopefully get to check it out in person next week.
Yeah any ...

Re: Salomon Snowboards
was on the taka 61 most of last winter and i love it and never letting it go.
it feels well thought out and refined.
i realy enjoy the "calm" flex and nice pop on all salomon bamboo loaded boards.
With the updated recycled ABS sidewalls and this comment....ugh...makes decision that much harder.

Re: Salomon Snowboards
Salomon didn't have the Taka 161 from memory second season in (which would've been my preferred size) and I wasn't expecting him to leave given they released the EP a season or so ago. Props to him for stepping aside, but I feel the board he's designed is unique given flex pattern, width and ethos ...
