Sorry. Google translator
Templates = footbed. Vans infuse footbed has a lot of drop (very fat in the back and low in front)

“Tread” = the way you put your feet on the ground when you walk. Vans infuse’s footbed also creates an effect that makes the foot not feel flat in front. For that reason i didn’t like first time
C2 & purepop/vans infuse/skate tech/ AK …

there are, no bad snow

But my god, they’re just so uncomfortably stiff in all the wrong places. Feels like the liner is made out of concrete and the instep pressure is unbearable. Would take a lot of molding/breaking in/time to make these work for my feet.

The last good 32s IMO were around 2012 or so before they switched liners.
I have the same problem with TM-2. And they are still my favorite boot :D They just need way more heat molding work. I don't have access to proper heat molding machine so i just use hair dryer. It takes time but for me its worth it.

Yeah, I feel like they'd be great after 100 days haha.

That "performance" liner is a fucking beast. I don't normally heat mold, I definitely would if I ever bought another set of 32s.

Fwiw I recall the reputation pre-2012 was that they got way too soft and packed out far too much far too quickly. Feels like they overcorrected off that reputation and feedback.

Yeah, I remember that about my 2011 TM-2s. I was able to downsize them a whole size because of it. They sure were comfy back then!

I had my TM2s “aggressively” heat molded in the shop and they have felt pretty great for 60 days but I’m beginning to think my poor old man ankles need a bit more support.

I messed up the reconning on how used my boots from last season are. Thought for sure I could last this season but I am two weeks in and I'm not sure I'll make it all the way through.
Either I pay the inflated Japanese market price for the another pair of the same (Burton Tourist), or I try to figure out a way to get a pair of the Vans Iguchi (which they don't sell here). Uuung.

I'm sure I, or someone here, can facilitate the Vans, should you want. DM if interested.

Very much appreciate the offer @C.Fuzzy thank you. The figuring is in whether I can find an acceptable balance of "throwing money at the problem" and "burdening someone with part of the problem" (i.e.: straight shipping from US would be very expensive; asking someone to mule them over if they are coming costs less $$ but is a pretty big ask).

I have some avenues to explore before I go either of those ways. But yeah thank you again. 🙏
