Pretty similar thoughts! Mine felt super comfy and supportive out of the box, but broke down faster than any boot I’ve had. I’d said by 20ish days they felt 6-7 like you said, then 30-40 days they were a solid 5. I retired them around 50 days because they had gotten very soft, but I could’ve kept them as park boots.

If you don't already: old liners into new boots, rider them a few days, then new liners into the broken-in shells. Breaking in brand new Adidas is never too bad for me (maybe low-key discomfort for 1-2 days), but the liner trick makes it basically seamless.

I always do this with new boots, sometimes riding the old liners half a season depending on the boot.

For insoles I still just run superfeet because they still work best for me, and for about 10 years now I've used a thin, flat foam insole underneath to slightly reduce vertical volume, as I have a low volume foot. It also reduces the need to crank laces quite as tight, which can sometimes lead to a sharper angle at the ankle. Also adds a bit of damping.
