I was surprised to see those team pics of him in Italy. Not sure why I was under the impression he wasn’t allowed to leave Japan. I guess it’s been a few years at this point and maybe the probation is done. Either way, it’s awesome to see Kazu’s influence continuing to resonate.
It's not that he can't leave Japan, it's that his conviction, the specific charges will put him on a no-entry list. He pled guilty to international drug smuggling. Lot's of places off limits now to him.
First I've heard of this. What happened? Did he try and bring weed into a different country or something?

you don't have to use reference width...
I was referring to the reference stance correlation to the stance packs
Always possible I'm confused, but still don't understand the concern with stance width. You always have room to move your bindings inward from the reference location, no? If you want your stance narrower than reference, all you have to do is make it narrower.
The stance packs are drilled farther apart on longer boards so it's hard for me to get the narrower stance that I prefer

You should have little issue getting a 19 or 20 inch stance on most boards even in the 56-58 range. As Spencer said just move the bindings inward in equal increments from reference.

Is it just me, or is it hard to find an actual stance range for them? I'm also seeing specs that disagree between their website and others.

Yeah, Capita is not good at putting out their specs. I will say that their stance options/references also keep me from riding their decks. Like who the fuck is riding a 25/26” stance? Most of their decks 160+ have 23’+ as reference with max widths up to 25/26”
The few decks they have that I’d like to try just won’t get me my stance at reference, which is a bummer.

This was like maybe 5-6 years ago. He shipped himself weed from the US to his place in Japan. It made it to him, but the authorities knew and waited to see what he did. He got arrested with it in his possession. Was then charged in Japan with drug smuggling and possession. Pled guilty. So yeah, USA and Canada are off limits to him for possibly the rest of his life.

Yes, and for example, Capita tells me to use a board size larger than the one I usually use and then with my stance I have to use the minimum width of inserts, so if one day I want to move my bindings back, I can't (and I don't have a very narrow stance, which many people have already reduced a lot these days).
I don't think it would be that problematic to put 4 or 2 more inserts in the narrow part. Other brands do it... narrower stances…
Also, the Capita are Europeans and we Europeans are not that tall…
