Re: Hardgoods 24/25
I was really close to getting a Pow Wrench, but couldnt see that it was different enough from the Pan Handler to justify picking it up. PH is a great board. I did get the 3D Deep Daze and its a lot of fun in really light snow. Interested to see how the new Channel Surfer will be and prob replace the Deep Daze for it.
If anyone has info, but it looks like the new Rewind is now "unisex" and comes in bigger sizes. So is the Name Dropper out and just included in the Rewind line now? Sizes got cut off in the pic, but is there still a 158?

I also understand that rewind becomes unique and B eliminate name dropper, which is the men's version and one of the ones I want for next year
The rewind widths have increased so it seems that there is an intention to unify the two boards. but it just seems... I haven't managed to get to the catalog yet...

Re: Hardgoods 24/25
my second ever pair of boots were Vans Fargos with the first gen BOA, 2002/3 ish, they been in the game for a long time now.
those helmet BOA’s are much simpler than the boot ones, so I’m sure it was much easier to clone. Burton even had their “Speed Dial” on low end boots before they ponied up for the real deal BIA on their boots.

The infuse snow surfer looks like a direct competitor to the K2 TT. Vans dropper their pow surfer boot after 2 years and this looks like a more tech’d up version. I’m sure Todd Richards will be happy to see another soft, high tech boot on the market.
I just can’t get down with how big and heavy Vans boots are, at least their more premium offerings. Lacing up the infuse was such a bear too - internal ankle lace lock, tighten laces, power strap, tighten boa, then zip up powder skirt. Meanwhile the ride fuse, my current boot, is tighten laces then ankle boa.

How stiff are those Fuses? They've caught my eye. I really liked the fit and feel of the Lasso, but I don't dig that BOA implementation where the shell is basically single boa and the side boa only tightens tongue / liner. Never seen a Fuse in person and thought about ordering one online.ninja_nate wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 12:21 pm The infuse snow surfer looks like a direct competitor to the K2 TT. Re: Hardgoods 24/25
I love the fuse - lightweight, small footprint, comfortable and simple closure system. I’m actually on my second pair but going to switch it up next year just to try something new.
I’m still calibrating on what is a stiff boot, but my take is the fuse is in the mid stiff range. I thought the infuse from vans was stiffer, without the tongue stiffeners, but to me the fuse is a good balance of responsiveness when charging while still being able to tweak grabs/be playful on mellower terrain.

Re: Hardgoods 24/25
if it fits your foot, infuse is such a great boot. I wish it was a little less bulky, but footprint wise, it isn’t awful. I’m psyched to try out the surfer version, hopefully it comes in some other colorways and isn’t crazy expensive.
When did TTs go up to $600?? Holy fuck!

Thanks. All those things have them ranked high in my list. I was impressed with how compact the Ride boots I tried were. The main thing keeping me from pulling trigger is none of my locals stock them, and I hate dealing with returning online boots. Maybe I’ll take a gamble.ninja_nate wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 1:53 pm I love the fuse - lightweight, small footprint, comfortable and simple closure system.
