Nidecker snowboards that say nidecker on them

No impressions yet on the Smoke, as there's still not much coverage/base. Plenty of sticks and stones leaving their marks on my other board today.

I just picked up a Nidecker Rift Boot and to be honest it is really amazing.

Ordered and tried many Boots (Deeluxe,32,Adidas,Ride,Vans) and the Nidecker felt by far the best.

I just slipped in and it was perfect for my feet. Rode Adidas the last seasons and Salomon before.

I think posted this on the Boot thread, but the I tried on the Altai and was super impressed. Lots of really thoughtful features, the asymmetrical loading on the lower boa is great. I might have bought a pair if they didn’t have an all-foam outsole. Rift feels too soft and Kita too stiff, so haven’t hunted too far beyond that.

Looks like Bataleon have a Rift/Kita mash up with laces and a strap for next year. Looks like the Kita but with the split shell the Rift has (and all boots should have) to allow it to flex. Could be the ideal boot for me. Got about 15 days on my Rift and they are not too soft. Yet…..

The smoke is one of the few boards that seems to fit the bill for me. Should probably try one sometime.

Sensor is now a proper Series. Needed to get Mons on a board he can actually hit jumps with. So full camber, camrock, then camrock with sidekick.

Took the kiddos to the hill twice this weekend and saw a surprising amount of Nidecker gear. Seems to be getting a foothold in somehow with peeps.

Saw my first pair of supermatics in person. The guy said he was really liking them. They looked claptrappy to me. But whatever. I can still bend over to buckle my shit for now.

Supermatics put Nidecker on the map for casuals. Up until last year, no one except Euros and industry nerds had ever heard of Nidecker. Global Google search trends for past 10 years. Interest jumps in Jan / Feb 2022 when Supermatics are first announced, then hit a new level starting 2023 season.

I talked shit about Supermatics when I handled my first set in person a couple months ago, but I'm reconsidering grabbing a pair on sale. With low tide in the Sierra, I may spend a lot more time lapping a 100-ft vert park chair lift at Palisades. I don't mind strapping in 10-20 times a day, but 50+ times a day would get old real quick.

I was pretty weary about them myself. For cruising and casual riding I have come up with no complaints other than they’re a little heavy. For actual performance I’m looking to my NX2TMs or Rome Katanas.
