I've had mixed experiences. I have a jacket from them a few seasons back (more of a streetwear looking one, maybe the highland?) and its fine for the resort and holding up decent, I use it alot on mild resort days and around town. It has all the features pit zips etc. Fit is a bit weird smaller than average, arms are a bit short.

Recently i bought my daughter a pull over jacket, and in the store we had to go through3 different ones to find one that didn't have a stitch coming apart in the kangaroo pocket. Its a mid range piece and she has put it through the wringer without any complaints, but she's a bit of a tornado and probably wouldn't really think to mention anything short of a complete implosion.

Last year i got a complete venture kit and its a mixed bag. The jacket has every corner cutting option possible, no pit zips, single hood adjustment (and its weirdly small), the elastic cord at the bottom will not lock so its pretty useless but the pants fit really good and have big vents and key clips etc. It does seem like legit 20K and its made of a burly slippery fabric that sheds snow and holds up. I bought it on sale as almost as a joke because its pretty loud, matching and baggy but its actually great for the resort when its cold.

All that being said i don't think I'd trust their 3L supposedly serious back country stuff to be as high quality as more serious established back country stuff, but I'm not sure where the price points land. If you like wearing 3L stuff at resorts I'm sure its fine.

Interesting inputs all around. I do recall when they were leading the super tight stuff with Holden. Overall I like the styling, and I like what Knut is about at Nitro, so in good company (not sure if directly managed in the same structure but maybe).

Some of the quality notes are a little bit of a flag, but overall sounds like the lower priced stuff is a bit less featured, which doesn't scare me too much. I'll agree the sizing seems a half step small on the jacket I bought. Ill post some fit and detail photos.

Almost entirely resort riding in mind, I just prefer simple, lightweight outerwear these days (and have aspirations to use it in Split/BC applications at some point).

back in 2008 or something i only wore L1, got some good deals on samples from parker and wore them as tight as they could be like no long johns underneath in minus 20 :D

but nowadays they seem to have theyre shit together and all the stuff looks great and proper, my girlfriend bought bibs from L1 and they were really good.

I think Josh was still wearing Holden at that time? I remember buying a few H things from him in 2009. Can't remember when he got into L1, but maybe that was why he was selling his holden stuff. I still remember him on the first capita indoor FK wearing a dark red L1 puffy, hah. Can't remember when he started working for the foundry either.

RIP 🤍

Edit: I guess this is why I remember!

Sometimes I'm tempted to go full "small stance tight pants" throwback. I'm sure it'll come back around eventually. On the opposite end of the spectrum the old videos reminded me of Spencers New Schoolers photo, kneeling down with the toy arrows for poles. Hilarious

The best part was someone posted it on newschoolers, and some people missed the joke and liked the look.
