There is no real correlation between shoe size and boot size, because shoe size is what you wear, while boot size is what you are. People have preferences on shoe fit that varies the size (some like it snug, others relaxed), but boots need to fit a certain way, period. You can wear your shoes however you want, but your boot size remains the same. That said, you will never be a larger boot size than shoe size. Ever. If you can comfortably fit your foot in a 9 vans shoe, a 10 boot is way too big. So, I think the conclusion in your case is the boot fits poorly-enough that you upsize too much, to avoid feeling its pressure points, and sounds like you need to spend time being properly fitted. Have you ever been measured, or done it yourself?

Deeluxe makes good boots, as do most manufacturers, but whether or not they fit you correctly is a different story.

Where did you get these?

I'm Italian, we have decathlon there.
If I remember correctly I paid something around 20 € , so It's a big saving instead buying a new pair of boots that will cost me around 300€

and we can clearly see on just this last page, boots fit different feet differently. and brand fits vary model to model. there truly is no “rule of thumb” when it comes to snowboard boots, other than “Try it on”.

Shoe size can be very different and is not a useful guide for snowboard boot size (other than as a cap), both because people have different preferences for shoe fit and because size scales can differ considerably between shoe brands and models (especially if not using Mondo sizing).

Sofar I'm very happy with the ride fuses. really comfortable from day one. stiffer than I like but I'm sure they will break in and feel flexible enough.
right now i don't lace them all the way up and that gives me the freedom of movement I like.

Too many dimensions at play to simply to"boot size is your foot size". Even if you get an EXACT measurement of length, width, and instep volume down to the miliimeter, a bunch of other factors play a part like foot curvature, toe shape, silhouette, etc. That's even before you get to the complicated stuff like arch support or the niche stuff no one thinks about like shin and calf fit. I'm a mega fucking nerd and wrote up about them here. And even there I'm oversimplifying for the sake of "brevity".

That plus boot sizing differs brand to brand, and even model to model within a brand. I measure out about 10 ¼ US, with a EEE width on a Brannock. Strictly on length, I'm a 10 in Adidas and Ride; between a 10 and 10.5 on K2; a 10.5 in Nitro, DC, and Burton (but I can fit into a 10 on some softer Burton boots); traditionally 11 on Vans (but maybe now a 10.5 in the new last); and I was a 28.5 (10.5) on Salomon 15 years ago but who knows today.

Boot size "number" may vary for sure, but the point is there's one specific fit for your foot - you're deciding based on proper fit, rather than preference as with a shoe. The number might be 10 or 10.5 depending on brand, but they are both fitted based on actual foot size.
