Orca is not a bad board at all, and it is definitely a fun one for a variety of people.. our response just comes from its hype/marketing/etc. If it were presented like any other board in the line, there probably wouldn't be much discussion about it... would be like the random comment on the hyper, or gremlin, or whatever.

But I digress 😜

My riding is very technical. If I put bindings now I'm sure I'll do better carving 😂😂😂

I have just as much fun turning on my C2X Lib as on my Banker, definitely different feels, but still fun.

the biggest difference for me is actually popping off rollers like you mentioned.

I would say you don’t need an Orca then, and would size down if using it for everything, but could take a look at other Lib/Gnu if that’s what you want, something around 250 waist. Rig/Dynamo/BRD/Antigravity.
Thank you @casjcade Perhaps but i have a lot of boards and for me orca is something different. I’m looking for a medium wide and short board (for that reason i have doubt with the size couse don’t want too short) and 150 to me is a good size but don’t know if orca is the kind of board that you have to downsize a lot (they say 3 to 6cm) and i used to ride 24,5 width then try 25,5 and now 25,8 the fish
For me orca have several attractives things like pop and hybrid in the same pack. It sound playful and i like that idea for freeride. I have a lot of boards. Camber and rocker entry with camber is not new for me… orca is new for me and i like to try it 😃😃😃
if you don't have issues with the fish, at 25,8, maybe you can try the orca...
I have a fish myself, and I don't have any issues at 25,7 width... (although the fish it's a heavily tapered board with a massive setback)
@Vanni and the fish is so so soft and is 3d and so so short running lenght

Where are you from, since that lingo is unknown? rollers is just small variations in the hill that you can load up the board and jump off, even if its not a jump. Foot steering is more like twisting the board into turns. I’m thinking this is more of a me problem than the average rider, but I prefer torsionally loose boards, since I am always controlling the board by foot steering, instead of just running with the specs. I know how to make it easier for myself, but it just doesn’t feel right, most of the time. So, with board that can be torsionally stiff over the back foot, I tend to get tired. I can ride them well, but not for the whole day. It’s not a can carve or not issue, it’s just how you ride, but skidding turns certainly makes it easier.

my fish is from 2012/13, S-camber version, not the flat one, mine is not soft

Btw there are riders here that love the mervin C2 camber and its variations, nothing wrong with that.
to each their own

It's not just you, I like the loose between the feet thing too and I think that is why I don't love my Deep Thinker.
