Burton and (I think?) Holden had it at one point... couldn't have been past 2009 IIRC

I should - but don't - like bibs. If I did, "dat zip" would be 🤷‍♂️

I like volcom and their gear anyway, but almost don't even look at anything else because no zippy zip. Plain pow skirt never works for me when I actually need it, and the belt loop connection seems pretty useless. I think a patent/exclusive use is kinda lame..
I go bibs and don’t care much whether jacket has a powder skirt or no. Burton bibs and Volcom jacket now tho.

Wonder when Volcom got exclusive on the ziptech stuff? I had a set of Norrona with it like 20 years ago. Guess they maybe had to stop using it then. Haven’t looked at their stuff lately…
Same. I got bibs, so I'm not especially fussed about any connect tech, or even whether I have a pow skirt. I'm also free to mix and match between brands (presently 686 bibs, Burton jacket) I have to fuck up REAL bad to get any snow down my pants lol.

But... I probably wouldn't go back to jacket + pants unless I got an all Volcom kit. To @spenser's the various other systems in existence are nigh useless.

I don't know details, but Volcom secured the patent around 2010 give or take. Before that I remember Burton had zippers on AK gear for a while when I was in or just out of college around 07 or 08.

there was also Special Blend that had that kind of cuff on the pants, so it was hard for the snow to pass even in powder days

I think I still have two of this in the rotation.

Right now I'm in Volcom L Gore-Tex, but I didn't experiment ziptech on the mountain.
I tried only at home, but I felt a little bit baggy, maybe the hoodie didn't have much room with ziptech connected, in my case

23/24 Arbor Snowboards catalog is up

Really digging the new annex with the OG base graphic but in a different colour way. Think I’ll pull the trigger on the Annex next year.

Like the new carter design as well, but the 4 out if 10 flex seems very strange compared to how stiff the Clovis is and seeing as the carter is taking over from the Clovis that’s a big difference.

Terra Pin Rocker 157 looks like something I'd chuck around on right about this time of the season out here. Wish I had it in the trunk to give it a try right now!

Quality is very sub par. They switched to a much cheaper factory. FYI Corey did not have any involvement in the design of his kit. He was AWOL most of the time. Pretty much the same deal with the SB boot. The colors of the Spring Break outerwear kits were based on the Spring Break Boot.
