My Smarty cargo pants took a gnarly snag from a branch yesterday. Didn’t even leave a mark. Think I’ll always have a pair of these in the rotation for some durable, waterproof, well fitting pants.

picked up some Volcom Arthur pants (standard, no XXL in the Longo Gore :/) yesterday, SHE fleece on the way, too. needed a kit that wasn’t so “mountain town cool dad” as the Sasquatch kit for Troll laps. might get the matching anorak to take advantage of zip tech.

who makes the best roomy gore-tex anarok jacket these days? I know burton has their super tech expensive ones, wasnt sure if there were cheaper options out there. Have learned I prefer to have a nice base layer and just have a gore tex anorak to pullover everything

B's Pillowline gore-tex anorak comes to mind (it's not part of the AK series). Think it's like $350. Not a lot of gore-tex anoraks out there.

@Hank I had to return the medium Burton AK Velocity because it was a really big medium

It was a shame because I really loved it. Replaced it with a Volcom L gore tex jacket in medium which has been great.

AB, 3L gore, the fit, color, hood, pockets & snaps - it's like they designed me a pro model.... why didn't I know sooner
Dang this looks like an upgraded version of my Grumpy which is pretty much what I'm looking for. I gave the Volcom L a go yesterday but in my AB size it felt super roomy and there was no size down available. Has anyone tried the Beast 2L? Seems like what I'm looking for and similar to the Volcom L.
