Got one Patagonia C-knit backer jacket, interior definitely holds stains more than my other 3L gear. I have some random smudge in middle back of the liner, probably from storing it in same luggage with some leather shoes years ago.

Could this be due to the use of eco-sustainable materials?
I read that this is happening to Arcterix, which has a significant deteriorated appearance, and although it's not losing properties, or so they say, it looks bad..

I've used my AK pants and AK jacket for 15 years and they last and last and last...

Not sure about Arcteryx, but with Patty stuff it's usually the seams that blow out on me.

I can't say that my Patagonia gear blew out. It's more than I rode a bit too close to pine trees... A lot

After taking a closer look, the staining only happened on any of my Gore pieces with stretch.

I’m looking for a 2L or 3L shell without a hood. Any suggestions?

Does anyone else have an issue with the inside of their 3L shells staining over time? I take good care of my outerwear by washing and reapplying DWR at least once or twice a season, but can't seem to get the slight discolouration out of the interior of my Guch/Guide stuff. My well-used Freebird bibs look like a pissed/shit myself, but I don't recall ever doing either. Or am I just gross? Feeling kinda vulnerable posting this but if anyone has a shared experience and managed to clean it up, it'd be the EZ crowd.

Would be nice to unload some older outerwear so I can justify buying new stuff, but I don't wanna sell anything that I can't get stains out of.

With that being said, my 3L C-Knit Tuvak jacket still looks great. I only have 20 or so days on it and take care of it, but still looks brand new.

It doesn't take much to fuck up a lightly-coloured shell. I had a 'Ballet Slipper' Freebird from a couple seasons back, and the material near the pockets stained from my leather gloves. My wife got an oil stain on her AK that won't come out. Tools, not jewels, I guess?

My Tusk jacket looks the same after bike commuting to work for 4 years. GTX pro isn't helping with the stains.
