Why do so many people care about Torstein’s pro model? Just curious, as someone who doesn’t care at all. No disrespect meant to the dude.
a bit of taper, a lot of camber

So I did finally get a definitive answer from someone who has Source bindings in hand and is riding them. Yes. + 3°to -21° for your back foot.
Super highly positive I’ll be giving them a whirl.

Very effective marketing strategy by Capita putting an older still ripping rider that the target snowboard demographic (aging millennials (me) with disposable income (not really me, but we’re hoarders in here)) is into and aging with on a “pro model” and subtly leaking it by having him ride an obviously different shape from what is in the line and that has a prototype graphic. Also very effective making the board a very obvious combo of two of their most popular board shapes (longo and DOA) from a visual perspective. Makes people (me) think I’ve ridden those, I bet a combo of the best parts of both would be awesome.ad1105 wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 3:37 pm Why do so many people care about Torstein’s pro model? Also as an aside, apart from snowboarding, Horgmo seems like a rad guy.

Super seems like a rad human. Very interested in his model when it comes out. Hopeful it has specs I’d love, but not holding my breath, Capita stance ranges are always weird and widths never quite match up to my preferences for some reason, but it totally sounds like the type of deck that could be a total daily driver for me.Msteff wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 6:42 pmVery effective marketing strategy by Capita putting an older still ripping rider that the target snowboard demographic (aging millennials (me) with disposable income (not really me, but we’re hoarders in here)) is into and aging with on a “pro model” and subtly leaking it by having him ride an obviously different shape from what is in the line and that has a prototype graphic. Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
It’s less about Tor for me and more about how much I love Capita and am stoked on another directional deck being added to their lineup. It could have anybody’s name on it haha.ad1105 wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 3:37 pm Why do so many people care about Torstein’s pro model? Just curious, as someone who doesn’t care at all. Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
Yeah in his YouTube channel he talks about how he’s lowering the nose height and changing the radius so it will sidehill/traverse in pow much better and slice though instead of drag. Sounds right up my alley. Even though I prefer more taper generally, if it has rocker in the nose/tail and there’s a sizing that is in my parameters, I’d give one a try, maybe.eleveneightnate wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 7:06 pmIt’s less about Tor for me and more about how much I love Capita and am stoked on another directional deck being added to their lineup. Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
My hope is that it doesn’t have a progressive sidecut. I so much prefer just a straight radial sidecut (all the better if it’s over 8m), dual degressive is okay too, but progressive just feels weird switch.

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
this appears to be something new that Blake’s riding. another pro who’s potential pro model has my eye. looks to be more directional that the deep fake or algorithm he usually rides, and significant rocker in the tips.
