I rode the Kita today. They are stiff boots. I’ve been keeping the laces loose and locking my heel in with the boa. The sole has no flex at all. Definitely a freeride feel. I would go for the Rift APX unless you want properly stuff boots. The regular Rift I found too soft but it sounds like the APX would be ideal.

That’s not good
I don't think the new Nidecker models are overly restrictive in the toes, especially with how soft the liner is. I have a wider forefoot and love the adidas fit and the Rift APXs are super comfy for me.

Well, that’s kind of what I’ve understood. Of course being able to test different boots would be the best, but I can’t do that currently.

My feet are 107/108mm at the wides point (Mondopoint 270). Toes felt crushed in Deckers.

Mine are 4.375" (111mm) and my toes feel fine in my US 11 APXs, and I bet once they pack out they'll be even better. They're snug, but their new liners are crazy soft so they aren't painful at all for me. They're definitely not as wide in the toes as my Acerras, but I've resigned to the fact that nothing will ever fit me as good as adidas did.
