Did handle FASE bindings in person and strap into them. They do work as advertised, but I just don’t see them being that different from a regular two strap, at least for me, like I’m highly doubtful that I could just “set-it-and-forget-it”

The ankle strap felt very cumbersome and I’d be highly suspicious of how comfortable it would be long term. Like there’s a lot going on with it, and it was quite bulky.

^That’s dumb. ANY fucking binding could fail in that situation. Probably a good thing they broke, to be fair. Rather break my bindings than my femur.

Pretty normal as far as normal goes with a split binding, I.e. I don’t notice a major difference using the quiver vs. split disk, but using the quiver disk and split board bindings on a non-split board obviously doesn’t feel the same as a regular non-split binding.

I just rode the Union Atlas for the first time and they felt great! The straps were comfy and response was great. My only issue was snow sticking to the inside of the high back, never had that before!

Thats true, I bet fase isn't any worse than other bindings.

I was able to play with some Jones Fase bindings on snow the other day. I had my snowskate boots on so didn't get the full experience but I have two takeaways:
1) they seem to perform like regular bindings
2) the whole thing seems pointless. You save a few seconds by not having to insert the tongue into the buckle. And for most of the day, it's only on your back foot lolz You still have to bend over FFS. And for those miniscule time savings, you get more moving parts and extra plastic on your bindings. Plus I heard they're not good in pow.
Apparently the Rome ones are the best because they have the most adjustability.
