BINDINGS
Re: BINDINGS
IMO, fase makes perfect sense for someone like scott
Re: BINDINGS
Went to swap my Katana's to a different board and noticed this. It had to have happened the last time I rode, I am surprised I was not able to feel it being it is an Asym Wrap binding.

Re: BINDINGS
Holy shit!
Re: BINDINGS
That cutout is extremely unfortunate. Would be much better if they drilled lotsa holes. Also make sure you don't get the alu in contact with anything steel, besides laquered screws and stuff. Seen some weird stuff on bindings hanging from a steel rack, it had years in a garage, but could pick that alu off with a nail.
Re: BINDINGS
Woof. Lucky that wasn't worse. I had a catastrophic binding failure on a cored out section of a Jones sample binding few years back.
I was so confused after wiping out because my ratchets were still engaged and I was still seated in the base tray... the heelcup exploded and literally folded over the back of my boot like a hinge.
(They filled in that cored out zone on the production model, thankfully).

Re: BINDINGS
seen a lot of binding failures, but that’s a new one for me
Re: BINDINGS
I really liked my Flux SR bindings except for the adjusting of the forward lean and the minimal foot bed, looks like they fixed one of my complaints with the new footbeds.
The straps were comfy, I liked the highback and the way the footbed shed snow was amazing.

Capita/Union
Re: BINDINGS
As much as I want to like them, Flux strap bindings are so behind the rest of the market. I’ve owned the DS, XF and XV and none of them made it through an entire season without being sold.
Kinda reminds me of how I used to feel about Union until they addressed all the issues.

a bit of taper, a lot of camber
Re: BINDINGS
I had Flux XF and really liked them, but they were a bit too stiff for my liking at that moment. Now I got Salomon District HPS and thinking they are a bit soft..
