Totally agree with @ad1105 (I also have both). The Guch is very comfy, but if you spend a lot of time crashing into trees, rocks etc or if the weather is horrific, the Guide is a better option.

I imagine it's like my Burton AK freebird (was goretex stretch not pro) - super light and packable but has so many tears and rips.

I picked up an AK Tuvak jacket. I am going to need to be super careful when riding tight trees.

Yeah Gore-Stretch is pretty terrible. I don't own any of it for a reason.

I've never experienced it before. I have owned Gore jackets, but always the lower end 686 stuff. I also got some Guch stretch pants this year and they have been good so far, but haven't had any abrasion situations.

it's great for uphilling, it packs down into a small backpack better than goretex pro

26/27 Volcom line might be a bit weird unless they have already licensed it out to someone else. I can't remember

They licensed it to the Levy Group, which is the same Manhattan-based group that now has the Dakine license. I don't know if any of Levy's Dakine outwear has been seen by consumers. Levy appears to be fairly new to snowboarding and skiing outerwear.

Wondering if Jamie might try doing 1910 outerwear then saw this literally 20 seconds later. Not sure if it’s just a patched up old Volcom or the real thing.
a bit of taper, a lot of camber
