Stoked on how this little parts bin project turned out. Not too many tweaks on this one, but I think it’ll do just fine. Frankenbindings for the win, always.

- Forged Force baseplate/straps
- Baldface Team highbacks
- Switched out the aluminum heel loop for forged carbon

Got some of these too now. The highback is softer than contact pros, so dont see the forward lean being much of a problem, it bends way back pretty easily. The pads on it is about on level with cartels, but stiffer than nows, and theres solid plastic everywhere else besides rubber grip on the big toe. Overall i think its better than contact pro (flite beats cp too), but gotta test it properly to know if it just looks sick or actually is. Red retro ripper + red ultras is already a work of art, and my first thought with that board was actually wallhanger..

That's a beauty of a setup there casjcade!

Got my first look in person at the Ultras. They seemed incredibly squishy. I want to ride them, but I don't wanna pay for them first.

I'd love to hear some firsthand impressions once people have had them on snow. Especially compared to say a Strata, which was way better all around than I thought they would be when I first bought them.

Checked out a few current binding models this evening. If I weren't so hooked on NOW, hands-down I would probably be on the atlas pro. Those things feel killer.

Also fondled whatever the model of Karakoram is that's fairly stiff and has baseplate padding. Would love to try those, but $$$

big fan of the new Atlas, I’d imagine the FC footbed just gives it that much more response.
midwest is best
