it's wild that the largest city with 5-6 ski hills within 2 hours and the only indoor ski hill in the country only has two stores you can get gear from (Burton and REI) — every other shop that carried boards either closed (Blades, Aegir…) or tried and stopped (Saturdays). The place I bought that gentemstick from is only holding them for a couple weeks, I'd be surprised if they sold more than half of what they had. Of the 100 people that came to the party, maybe 8 people knew what gentem was. Geoff Mcfettride was there (chatted about my Slash ATV deck that he designed) and Bryan Fox.
sorry, should have quoted. was just laughing at Spenser's joke. stoked for you!
I was as well, but can't react to alot of users' msgs now .
And @benjinyc that's dope. And isn't there a well known shop out in New Jersey? Forgetting the shop name, Out of Bounds or something?

yep, but that's not that close to NYC. I think @kimchi said he's hung out with him, only good things. They only stock Capita, Bataleon, 32, and Union
I also found out REI NYC isn't carrying snowboards anymore, just skis. So that just makes Burton the only snowboard store in the city

Can't speak to anything other than paragon sports in Union square used to(still does?) have snowboard stuff. Many years ago now but I remember decent selection comparable to a small stand alone shop.
The story I recall is that at the time 3D came out, it was an improvement. But that lasted about half a second, and it lived virtually the entirety of its life as inferior.
