Most of them are effectively just camber. The "banana dip" in the middle is often flat, on the boards I've had. Always just felt like camber to me. Banked would be a sick board if you're coming from an aero, looking at Mervin, and unsure of the shorter edge on the rig

Agree with this 100%. If I wanted to pare down my quiver, not counting splits I'm sure I'd be totally covered for any kind of riding I'd want to do with a Banked Country and a US Cadet. I have other boards that I love, but for me these two more than cover it all in any condition and any terrain.

I thought I had it narrowed down to the lib rig, however, the new GNU Banked Country is peaking my interest. I’ve always ridden traditional camber boards. Tried Flying V on a Burton custom and it was garbage. How is that C3 camber?

Agree with the others. C3 is basically traditional camber with a flex point in the middle. You won't be able to tell the difference, especially on a stiff board like the Banked Country.

The dip just makes it slightly easier to flex the board in the middle and a little quicker to engage the full edge. It’s why the Banked feels mellower than it actually is.

The 159 has an EE of 120 by my measurement. I’ve got a Lib Rig 159 in the post so I’ll measure that too. My guess is it will be roughly the same.

Thank you, I was hopping that Mervin does not mean EE when they put CL in specs. I am very interested in Ejack Knife 162w, even more so now, as I know that EE can be expected to be longer, than 117cm CL.

Unless they changed something this year, I would not call the Banked Country stiff. IMHO It is a smidge above medium flex, and I am on the 163 wide.
Super fun board especially in rutted out areas.

Thanks for that measurement @Kevington. Yeah what I was getting at originally was that I hope Mervin knows the difference between CL and EE and just chooses to not give the EE on spec sheets. Boards with too short an edge aren't my jam and as a smaller dude I *really* want to get on a Banked Country 155 this year.

I’m 6’ 175lbs and when I demoed the 155 I did not feel short on edge. It was the most stable and powerful board I had ridden in a long time.
