I kinda like the more solid powsurfs like Grassroots, since they don't bounce around as much, and can use them in the T-bar without an issue. Works with Aesmo too, but it's a workout. The paper ones look cool, I guess if it's really good, it will stay in the game for a few years, looks similar to Aesmo, but less tail.

I'm looking for a cheap backseat driver for when I stay with my kids being silly when closing the chairlifts and I have a paper powsurf KOOKSKÖÖTENN within my reach at IKEA that we don't know if it blend You don't care about falls and bumps, but they are ecological

They certainly look cool for dorking around on. Do we know what they cost?

Holy Christmas Ham and Cranberries ... you can get a Backseat driver with a real wood core, ptex base, and metal edges for 1/2 that. Or less, if you wait for a sale.

The "eco" part of those paper ones is only the raw material byproduct they "saved" from other processes that are not-eco friendly. That's like maybe 1% of the total cost inputs. The 99% stays the same. The factory, the machines and their materials (metal, oil, etc), the energy to run the factory, the harvesting (loss of habitat, rainforrest, or old growth), the processing and shipping of the material (timber to lumber to whatever was made from it to create sawdust), the shipping of the end manufactured goods, the inputs to the storefronts that sell it, etc. etc. etc are all the same.

Meanwhile, we may be ignoring that those paper ones will likely not have the useful longevity of other ones, and thus, there are hidden cost inputs that may outweigh the saved ones because of the duplication or multiplication of them.

Yes, that's literally wood with extra steps. Imagine going through the paper making process, then gluing it all together and compressing it, then acting like that's better than just using a piece of wood to start.
