Don’t do it man. Keep your shred manhood intact.kimchi wrote: Fri Feb 23, 2024 5:58 pm I predict some point in the next 5 years I'll have a Supermatic or Step On setup lol. I'll be playing sweeper for small children on the hill, ability to pop in and out will be easier across long flats and the like.

Re: Hardgoods 24/25
I turn 50 next week so I predict I'll end up on step ons at some point too.
Re: Hardgoods 24/25
I'm not teaching anymore but having step ons working full bore as an instructor would be a godsend.

Oh, so you're one of those Americans, huh?

(Thanks, man. Good to be here!)
Re: Hardgoods 24/25
I always have one eye on step on. A friend who was pro always encourages me. but there are some things that are a barrier with step ons…
1/ the incredible skate tech ride. I don't want to leave there
2/ too many years with loose ankle problems in the B boots. but no problem with the vans (except two pressure points... but that's another thing)
3/ I don't value the three seconds I lose tying my back foot...
And then the other systems don't appeal to me... a friend of mine has supermatic but i was still able to try... it's true that this year I've seen quite a few step ons... and there is a trend... I do find them interesting to teach... to students, children...
The only thing that bothers me in a traditional binding is the straps when I step on them... I take out the boot. kick and issue solved…
