Re: Helmets
Someone, either willingly or unknowingly, took my Maze with them this weekend, so I'm in the market for a new helmet.
I take the padding out, similar to you, and run the beanie/goggles underneath. Any issues you've experienced so far with the same size helmet? More so annoying to me, since I ...
Re: Helmets
Picked up the new Smith Method helmet that replaced the Maze in their lineup. Here are some shots next to my Maze (both Mediums). Overall, they fit very similarly, with the Method feeling a little more secure and pulled in around the back of my head/occipital area. They also switched up the vents ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
Going to ride some of the 25/26 boards this weekend and will get some ride time on the new Kazu to see how the 'new' camber profile compares to the old version with the camber through the tail. I'm already planning on buying next year's Kazu to replace the Aeronaut as the DD, but we'll see how ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
Finally got to ride again this past weekend, during a big demo day event set up by my main local shop (the hermano @ad1105 was helping out the Mervin tent, actually 👊🏼).Only tried two boards; don't really have much interest in any other ones at the moment, tbh.
Rode both the W26 Capita Aero ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
I feel the need to once again state that we’re all just old heads playing with toys. None of this should be taken as seriously as it has been lately. Moreover, it’s over now and we should all just move on. With that said the issue was well stated in the binding forum. There is a general sense that ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
A friend of mine has a surf shop and also sells snowboards. In the last few years he only sells step ons and not a single custom… He is thinking of stopping selling snowboard because it’s not worth it to sell only step ons (it is not really a lot) and only a few boards and there is still a lot of ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
As someone who has sat on the sidelines and watched the discourse go down over the past week or so, just wanted to throw my two cents in.
Do I think current Step-On/fast entry trend is a bit silly? Yes. Do I think the majority of riders need a step in binding? No. Do I have any desire to switch ...

Re: School Me On Banff/Calgary Temperature & Layering
I'm definitely going to check the weather once the trip gets closer, just want to know what to expect in terms of worst case scenario. Worst case scenario, I'll just shell out some money in Calgary or on-hill for something, if needed, but ideally would get things here in CA since I can hit some ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread
I have a couple of Camber dominant Kazu 151, and a new one I just picked up (154), but I didn't ride it, so far.
The reverse camber in the tail is not very pronunced, tho.
You can find some picture of the tail saction here, somewhere
Yesterday I had a blast with my 2019 Kazu 151, the base ...
