Re: The boot thread

Tried on the Vans verse. Maybe I just thought they were supposed to be stiffer, but was surprised how medium they felt. Confirmed again Vans boots are just not made for my foot… and it seems like they want you to have a fairly skinny calf, because I could barely velcro the sides of the tongue to ...

Re: Gentemstick

Gentemstick prices are actually pretty reasonable in comparison these days - combination of weak Yen and increased pricing by other brands.
Construction is fairly basic and most of the shapes are nothing special but I just love the look of the boards. And always good to support the local brand (even ...

Re: Snowboard Luggage/Bags

Anyone have strong feelings on a small (~12-14L) sidecountry pack that holds avy gear and water + vertical board carry? My DK heli 20 is functionally fine & great size for a tour, but I don't need the extra room when we hike from the chair. Just thinking slim.

I'm looking at the oneball little ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26

StepOn isn't about convenience for me, but performance. You guys have it twisted.

Anyway, to each their own... but without giving it a shot you really don't know what you don't know. I never assume anymore.

Surely it is both - or at least the convenience is a major part of the appeal for many ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread

Sidecut feels very short, much shorter than FA 168 or Transmission, too short for my liking, so I was shocked when came home and checked specs sheet that it is 8.7m. I measured it and it is exactly 8.7m!

I'm bad at maths so forgive me if this is a stupid question but how on earth ...

Re: The Official Burton Thread

The custom of the FT line.. I think I would’ve liked mine a lot if it was just a little softer.

Agreed. A little softer and it becomes more versatile and less dead feeling IMO. Although, I rode it with StepOns so maybe I should throw my Holograms on it today for shits and gigs.

I never had ...

Re: OUTERWEAR

Throwing it out there: I have a pair of Oyuki Goshiki Yamapro 3L bibs ( https://oyuki.com/product/mens-goshiki-yamapro-3l-bib-pant-2/ ) in size M and in last season's slate blue colorway that I might sell. I actually quite like it (slight stretch, pocket configuration is pretty good) but it is just ...

Re: OUTERWEAR

Untracked are tougher with heavier fabric (80D vs 50D) than Snowdrifter, with Gore-Tex and of course more expensive. Looks like similar to Powslayer, so maybe an updated version.

How did you find the sizing with Powslayers?

I feel like the fabric on Snowdrifters and Stormstrides would be ...

Re: OUTERWEAR

Does anyone have any experience with Patagonia Snowdrifter bibs? I am looking for stretchy pants for mostly splitboarding, but want to avoid anything too tight and would like to still look like a snowboarder. Burton would be an option of course, but the prices are quite a lot higher. I don't ...
