We've gotten 19" so far and the NW flow is supposed to kick in and we should get another 6-12" out of this storm today.
I'll get out on the splitboard for sure this week, making two years in a row of decent October turns.

it was 70 degrees. there was snow. i slid down it. some youngbloods were ripping on the features.

Yeeeew! We're still at least 5-6 weeks out from that here in northern Honshu. I was up at the ropeway for a walk today. The summits are white but that's all that is.
I hope things don't kick off while I'm back in EU briefly in Nov. But that just might happen too.

I keep saying… the amplitudes are to be watched. The spread between daily, weekly, monthly highs and lows, compared to past data. (Like this guy in Europe doing charts for daily temps in major EU cities plotted in historic data bands. It's been "off the rails" a lot lately.)

Anyways. La Niña #3! Smoke 'er if ya gets 'er eh! I'm expecting to go for my first hike first week of December.
