I'll only consider a reboot legitimate if they get the whole 8 back together with a MacDawg film.

Lolz. I could see them getting between 1-3.
I think the fact that the Mothership is likely pressing decks could add a bit of legitimacy...

It went tits up twice… I’d say the likes of it surviving a 3rd time are slim to none.
Everyone has this pipe dream that forum was a great brand. It wasn’t. They had a great team. The brand itself was hot garbage with no fiscal prudence and footing. While wildly popular, it couldn’t sustain itself on the sales volume it did. It will initially do okay as legacy riders buy some decks based on nostalgia, but once that steam runs out, I see it being a sinking ship all over again.

I’m down with forum and all - many of my frequent-watches early on were their early videos - but I also don’t see it lasting with another go around. I get some folks’ desire to bring it back, but it’s okay to let things go.. sometimes things have just run their course. We certainly don’t need more brands..

i’m curious to see what comes. the people involved make me interested, but i agree with the sentiment that it failed before for a reason.

This is the beauty of Forum. The legacy IS to go tits up from unabashed wild mismanagement, antics, and of course antic driven wild riding. If it's anything other than big paychecks, destroyed hotel rooms, scandals, injuries, and banger video parts... it'll be more of a failure than folding again would be.
That said. Based upon my feelings towards the other reboots and reissues, it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but smells more like they're out of new ideas.
Not to say I won't ride one. I'd ride the shit out of whatever is fun. Also, knowing who I'm supporting means something to me too.

Surprised by the hate and negativity...
Personally, I think it's cool to see some legends behind the brand and back in the industry. Not that I plan on buying their product, but I am very interested to see what they do- and wish them luck.
DOC vibes up in here...
