Vermont

They’ll put you in a better mood when you shred ‘em, so pull up a chair and talk about ‘em

My kid has been accepted to college in Burlington and needs to do a visit. We have Epic local passes so that means a trip to Stowe. I have only ever ridden at Killington many moons ago. If I don’t have a rental car are there shuttles from Burlington and what is the demo situation? It looks like a good opportunity to try some new boards ( It’s Burton country and the Grillmaster, Hometown Hero and High Fidelity are on my list).

Not sure on demos but make sure you go to alchemist brewery and get some heady topper, and neon wave is a sick board shop. VT also has amazing food everywhere. I did baldface last year but Stowe was the most fun I had, funny eh?

Haha, I went to Burlington last week for work and I had one of our company Marketing guys from Missouri traveling with me. I took him to the Alchemist for the tour and tasting, and we hung around all the restaurants and saloons in Burlington, eating and drinking like sultans while we were there on business.

We also went to Craig's just because.

Now Missouri boy wants to move to Vermont... :D

I’ve been sober for almost 5 years so probably not heading to Alchemy!

I went to Craig’s this summer and it was really fun. My kid really liked VT and ended up applying to school there, in retrospect we should have looked at schools then.

I know neon wave does demos at their flagship which is near me in NY. I would assume you could grab a board from their shop in Stowe. Based on events they’ve put on in the past they’ve got a pretty good selection in their demo fleet, including some Gentemsticks. They’ve partnered with/taken over the Darkside Stowe location and have a genuine stoke for snowboarding. If for some reason they don’t have demos there, I’m sure they could point you in the right direction.

Did not go to Jay, even though conditions were reported all time epic. People were getting turned back from entering the parking lot.

I did go to Sugarbush, lots of wind holds. -11º at the peak. Yesterday, I split from the Bravo lift to the top of Lincoln peak.

all in all, good 4 days and a start to my season. I swapped a lot between my Korua CR and US Cadet

Yep I saw some clips of Jay and they got bombed. I was up in NH on Tuesday, not much new snow but the snow quality was great, although the last two days have been windhold city pretty much everywhere in the NE.
