Stuck? The sticker sticky.
Are you into stickering up your boards? Or do you prefer to keep ‘em clean?
I have a collection going back to around 2004 of stickers I’ve accumulated. Recently got them out to let me daughter have her first foray into customizing.
Care to share what you got?

I have a large envelope thick with things from over the years, especially from when I was shop dude. Also have a large flat tupperware for my own diecut stuff. Used to be into strategic stickering throughout, but for years now I keep it super clean with a couple little hits, same on every board. Airpill is most crucial.

I considered keeping my new board clean, but old habits die hard. Especially when it’s been over a decade since getting a new ride.

What’s the best way to work making your own?
I’ve just been creating some ideas on an iPad.

Re: Stuck? The sticker sticky.
If you want to make them yourself, of course you’d have to buy a machine and material, and learn how to use it. A lot of people might just buy a cricut for cheap, but there’s a reason they’re cheap compared to “real” cutters. I still have my Roland setup, but barely use it these days. With the price of gas and other inflation, I pretty much need to start getting back into the vinyl game…
If you have someone else do them, we typically just need a vector file, although I don’t have those programs on my own computer. I usually just have people send me a very large, clean JPEG that I can pull an outline from. Or if it’s a company logo, I can do it all on my end

Re: Stuck? The sticker sticky.
My wife bought a Circut. It actually works remarkably well, the finished product is no different from professional cutters I used at the shop I used to work for.
The biggest downfall to a Circut is that it can’t do volume like a pro cutter can. But if you’re just wanting to make yourself a few stickers here and there when you feel like it, they work great.
And it ( Circut ) has an iPad app that you can use.

Re: Stuck? The sticker sticky.
They do work well, I’ve just seen differences in longevity, and like you said, volume and some other factors compared to a less hobby-oriented machine. For the average person doing a few here & there, I’m sure they’re perfectly fine. Definitely more affordable too, that’s for sure. I paid almost 800 for my 12” Roland. Made it back in the first month, from easy loungers alone

Re: Stuck? The sticker sticky.
i need to re-up on my sticker supply though.
i’ve been trying to do less snow logos other than Airblaster and the occasional union/coal, and try to always have one each of a Drink Water, local coffee roaster, and local brewery (cause who wouldn’t love a beverage sponsor?)

Re: Stuck? The sticker sticky.
Yeah, prefer clean/minimal. DrinkWater, AK & VANS the staples for me, brands I wear/resonate with. And subtle resort stickers every now and again, if an all time experience there.
