Lmao. Great thread title.
Mentioned this in the boots thread, but I tried on an Altai and was impressed. Sounds like they just scrapped the entire old Flow boot line and started over with Burton's old head boot guy.
On the board side, the Thruster's caught my eye. All mountain personality with some free carve elements. Mega effective edge for its shape (130 cm on a 162).

thought i posted here but i guess i failed.
i picked up last years thruster 40% off. The mega edge was a selling point. the tail is blunted nose kind is too. it’s really more like a 164-166ish board. still a lot of edge. all camber with a little contact point lift looks solid. build quality feels good. no edge tech. will be nice to have a tail. think i’m gonna like this one. i could imagine a lot of people on this forum being into it.
edit: note that amount of edge is with an 8.2m sidecut

Yea, the Thruster's a beast edge-wise. The 156 has as much EE as my 163 K2 Instrument.

I really wanted the Babs Charlet reissue they did a few years back. I think it was just the Escape with a different graphic.
The first board I rode was a Nidecker Freeway rental. The Rome Ståle Crewzer is lowkey a remake of it.
Can we make Nidecker cool again? (this assumes that it was once cool which I am not so sure about)
I imagine their carving boards are really really good.

the fact that their products appeal to me all but guarantees that they will be unpopular money losers for the company

interesting board...
The specs are 100% perfect for me, for my size (154).
It's a little bit scary they rate it as 10/10 in flex. Maybe their rating for the boards are a little off like on the boots side...

good question. those things are damn sexy too. wish i had a use for the gun.
the thruster is rated ‘mid-stiff’ (chubby) on their site - not really descriptive or helpful. i don’t see a number. it doesn’t feel particularity stiff to me.

I picked up the new 158 Smoke. I think numerical flex ratings are wildly subjective. I have not had it on snow yet, but it definitely is a stiffer flex. The tail is quite stiff. I have an Amplid Surfari 157 and The Smoke is noticeably stiffer everywhere.
I'm about 72kg, US9 boots.
