Ride and K2 Snowboards

Anyone has ridden the DeepFake? The long sidecut specs on the site don’t really match the waist and tips widths.

My experience with Ride and K2 has been very positive. Lively and damp and grip icy snow very well.

My Alchemist and Smokescreen absolutely rip as all mountain freeride boards, with the Alchemist being a lively I-don’t-care the weather forecast machine while the Smokescreen railing the best carves in pristine conditions due to the long sidecut.

Haven't ridden any RIDE since the Alter-Ego, but huge fan of my K2 Passport. Does everything pretty well for me, without feeling lifeless underfoot. With the blended numbers on the scr, it's capable of long drawn out turns, quick ones (ie. Banked Slaloms) and everything in between that all feel good and smooth, imo.

Into the "mid-wide" widths more nowadays also, esp with my size 8US boots, and the ww on the 157 feels perfect for everything I enjoy doing. The Alchemist has always caught my eye, but wish it had ww's closer to the Passport, as the 57 Alchemist is exactly 25cm vs 25.5cm on my Passport.

But yeah, look forward to riding my Passport again. Will still be my DD for the coming season.

I took the Deepfake for a spin this spring, these were my quick thoughts on demo day:
just a tank, but a tank that can turn on a dime. like an Algorithm on steroids, and that thing is already a little jacked.
it definitely didn't feel like it had a mega-sidecut. looking at the specs, it's the same construction as the Algo, maybe it was just that sidecut that made it feel beefy.

I haven't been on a k2 for a long time, but had a few over the years. I always thought they felt excellent, both the ride and build. Had a couple happy hours, a gyrator (in retrospect can't believe I rode that thing), and my favorite was a 2003 parka with the muska graphic. Actually rode that one quite a bit.

There's something about them that just seems to feel good, and I don't think I'm the only one.

These days I've looked at the alchemist 64W a lot, as it's right in my wheelhouse of specs & temperament. I'll probably still try one eventually if a sweet deal comes up.

Never been on a ride... for whatever reason, I've never been attracted to the brand.

I like where k2 has been going, from there Enjoyer series to their current Landscape collection, it's been cool they've been pushing out different shapes for a while now.

I have a Ride Algorithm. It makes my other boards feel liek they were made in shop class in 1985
