Longtime Palisades rider
Re: Tahoe
Let's link up. Didn't realize you rode out here. Got an Ikon this year.
Re: Tahoe
This'll be my 19th season mostly riding Tahoe. I didn't get a pass last season because of the birth of my daughter, but have an Ikon coming up. Last season I strung together 6 days at various spots: one day each at Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Kirkwood, Northstar, Kingvale, then a summer capper at Mammoth on July 4th.
I've been on Ikon since 2019, after mostly doing Epic the previous ~10 years. I miss Kirkwood, but I get buddy passes out there once or twice a season. Palisades and Alpine terrain blows Northstar and Heavenly out of the water. The parks historically suck, but I heard the new builder they hired last season is REALLY good, so excited to explore that this year.
Some day soon I'll probably just shift to Sugar Bowl passes. I don't travel enough to justify an Ikon, it's closer, less crowded, and that mountain rules. I love Palisades, I do not love Palisades crowds.
Also since I don't know where to put this-- I hate Heavenly with a damn passion lol. My least favorite resort in Tahoe, at least for weekend warrior-ing.

Re: Tahoe
Yooo, we should definitely link up along with @kimchi and @Garmstronger if they'll pop over from Epic for a day.
There use to be a lot more EL riders from tahoe, but I don't think they're on the forums anymore =/

So down! I'm usually riding solo or with a couple old skiers, so would welcome the chance to ride with fellow loungers with open arms!bboytommy wrote: Thu Oct 12, 2023 1:01 pmYooo, we should definitely link up along with @kimchi and @Garmstronger if they'll pop over from Epic for a day.

How often do you go up? I have a ski lease in Tahoe City so am there pretty regularly during the season.Garmstronger wrote: Thu Oct 12, 2023 4:40 pm

Re: Tahoe
Total weekend warrior these days, but try to be there every weekend for at least one day. We usually do a trip or two as family during kids school breaks too, as my wife and daughter will not do the day trips with us.bboytommy wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 9:27 amHow often do you go up?
