talking at Yes bindings (some info in this link, on the bindings side), can't believe they still continue with some garbage straps, even in 2026.
The team riders are really using that kind of straps?

I had the Now Drive (as other riders, here), and both the ankle and toe straps were very bad, compared to what I used in the past (mostly Union Force).
I understand the year of the transition between Now and Yes, were maybe from a marketing standpoint is better to not touch the products, but for the 2026 season I thought that finally they were able to improve the straps.
I'm now on Jones Mercury. They have straps, both toe and ankle, comparable to the rest of the industry. Yeah, the toe ratchets are not so good, but at least the straps look and feel like a 2020/2025 straps.

these are the straps:

I see they are the same or very similar of the straps on Air Master Fridge

A lot of riders here replaced them with other straps from other bindings (mostly Burton, but even Rome if I remember well).

Beying Now/Yes under Nidecker umbrella, I'm still surprised about this, Nidecker has a lot of experience with bindings and straps, and ratchets (for my Jones), but I don't know how much indipendent each company is, if the info and the supplier are shared or not... looking at the Fase bindings (you are involved in) I think the company is integrated.

I'm sure there is something I don't know/don't understand

my actual quote: "yes, people who ride ultra, strata or contact pro, most likely wouldn’t be the type of rider that would ever use the float pack. they would not likely ride a swallow tail’s either."

I paraphrased your baseless claims. Now please move on so that every time we see a FASE binding it's not associated with your child-like online persona.

Hilarious to think most snowboarders understand the intended purpose for their bindings. 95% buy the binding they see other people riding and which one is consider cool at the moment. You are overthinking a marketing gimmick.
