Further consolidation isn't great, but I'd prefer Nidecker be calling the shots over "Altamont Capital Partners."
A friend who has had a snowboard shop for 25 years told me. Nidecker takes him to Mervin next year for a visit,

so I asked if EL knows anything else to confirm it…
It's something they keep low profile on, but Nidecker bought some shares some time ago and previous year they bought more shares of Mervin. They will keep pressing in the US that's for sure.

And to clarify, Nidecker doesn't own Mervin(yet), they own shares in Mervin

You have explained it perfectly.

It is also a bigger plan than simply buying Mervin. I'm not sure if the idea is to have Mervin to have a factory where they can manufacture their boards to enter the US or to have Mervin as a point from which to start their expansion but without manufacturing there. I didn't pay much attention to this because my friend explained it to me while we were analyzing if the base of my lib was good or if I had ruined it after doing my homemade grind 😵‍💫

Not sure if this is somewhere in the archive, but popped across a Korean shop modeling 24/25 AK samples. Cyclic Deep Emerald might be in my future.

I'm thinking the same, really nice colour that wont show dirt. I'd probably pick off the white branding but I'm like that.

That yellow, white, navy color blocked/striped one looks like an old dub or alphanumerics jacket. I dig it.

That deep emerald IS nice. I've already got Swash pants in dusty blue on the way.

Glad it’s not a VC/PE firm, but I’m still not stoked on the Nidecker family and how/where they choose to do business.
