To be fair, most people aren't up in arms about anyone's personal preferences here and never have been (debating the merit/function of actual products and marketing claims is different IMO). Mr. Partridge came in and explicitly asked us for our opinions on various things, which people gave, but he didn't like the answers so he started appealing to authority and making wild claims like "people who ride ultras, stratas or contact pros don't ride swallow tails" lol... Of course people are gonna push back. Same with "hey guys let's talk about Step Ons" "okay, i don't like them" "NO you can't say that, you must not be a shredder and know how to fit your boots properly!".
It's just a couple of people that can't cope with differing preferences, but that doesn't mean the rest of EZ is ruined or something.

Everyone in here needs to put down their jergens and smartphone and actually go ride the snowboard(s) they already own. None of this shit is changing anything for you. Creaming (or screaming) over graphics and art direction isnt changing how good or bad you are at riding a fucking snowboard. Its hilarious. Youre like gorpcore hypebeasts but instead of Arcteryx and Salomon shoes youre into Volcom goretex and Burton step ons
Seeing grown men (and women if those exist on EL) get worked up over gear and peoples preferences is actually pathetic and is a piss poor representation of what this shit is all about.
Its -4 and im gonna go ride my local after work hope yall do the same
Yeah, I don't think you're reading the room correctly.

I was able to put hands on some FASE bindings tonight, the Katana and ThirtyTwo. The bindings felt similar in weight to non FASE bindings, and the mechanism seems pretty solid.
which one interested you the most, rome or 32 FASE?
The Katana's for sure. I have a pair of regular Katana's and love the pivot mount and other areas of adjustability. I just wish I didn't have to tighten screws every other day.

So it is a thing? My buddy rides Rome Bindings and has had this issue, even had a day we were riding and lost a toe buckle on the chair ride up.
I don't know shit about Rome bindings.

It is a thing. I was at Milo last night and one of the sales staff said he had issues with their screws backing out as well. Granted, I have not applied lock tight yet..

Fawcett just dropped a tribute review video on the union step ons. Of course he's been an advocate of stepon, so no surprise he likes em.
Of course, he probably hasn't heard how terrible they are from some of the folks here, so, just a babe in the wilderness really.

-20c night shred. Riding some of the slopes in the dark is sort of fun.
About step on. I see a few moms and dads rocking them. They are stoked they can keep up with the kids.
