I have just as much fun turning on my C2X Lib as on my Banker, definitely different feels, but still fun.
the biggest difference for me is actually popping off rollers like you mentioned.
@casjcade What do you mean by foot steer and by popping off rollers. thank you!
Where are you from, since that lingo is unknown? rollers is just small variations in the hill that you can load up the board and jump off, even if its not a jump. Foot steering is more like twisting the board into turns. I’m thinking this is more of a me problem than the average rider, but I prefer torsionally loose boards, since I am always controlling the board by foot steering, instead of just running with the specs. I know how to make it easier for myself, but it just doesn’t feel right, most of the time. So, with board that can be torsionally stiff over the back foot, I tend to get tired. I can ride them well, but not for the whole day. It’s not a can carve or not issue, it’s just how you ride, but skidding turns certainly makes it easier.
@casjcade I am from southern Europe. I call them “bumps”. What you talk about feet, here we talk about foot riding. Terje talk about ankle riding. I like more to feel and ride with the soles of the feet. That's why it's important to me to feel the board, everything it does... if it's torsionally hard (I've already had several) you ride rigid and you stop surfing... My 2021 fish 3d is great because driving with your feet is extraordinary but no grips on hard snow. That's why I'm so skeptical of the Orca 150. It's too wide and think 147 have better riding to my feet. I like the c2x which is what I want to try because it seems to me that it will be torsionally loose but being so wide (150 is 30,4)in the tail it seems to me that it is going to kill my foot and may feeling

if you don't have issues with the fish, at 25,8, maybe you can try the orca...
I have a fish myself, and I don't have any issues at 25,7 width... (although the fish it's a heavily tapered board with a massive setback)
@Vanni and the fish is so so soft and is 3d and so so short running lenght
my fish is from 2012/13, S-camber version, not the flat one, mine is not soft
Btw there are riders here that love the mervin C2 camber and its variations, nothing wrong with that.
to each their own
@Vanni that profile in a freeride board it’s what i want to try

I went for 148 Gremlin, will see, fits my stance better too. Can be fun to play around on in ribbon season or summer. I have a 151 3D Fish and a 164 S-camber, and the torsional stiffness of those are similar, but scaled up for the 164 of course. The 164 has a softer nose, but the 3D is softer overall since it’s flat, no carbon stringer and narrower tail. Because of the size, the 164 gets a bit tiring when carving, but it does it well. I think the 151 has great edgehold, and the tail being soft doesn’t really affect my turns, plus I can do it all day. Not the softest torsional flex I have at all. Should try a Snowstick if you want that, they don’t have much pop though.

Still thinking about trying an alchemist 64W. Talked to my trusty Lars, he has tried it, said it was a great board in the vein of what I like. Dumb, but I just want everything with a black base, so may try to find a '22 in that size.
Probably going to grab the US transmission 59 when it comes out regardless, just looking for a similar DD to orbit with a little more flowy/powder nose

Don’t go K2…. There are okay factories in China and then there are bad factories in China.. The rumors around the K2 owned factory in China is bad, very, very bad. I’m talking wages and human rights, not quality.
Plenty of other black bases out there.

I get that, but the alchemist is pretty much the only thing I can find that looks like something I want, regardless of graphics. Probably not going to happen anyway, and I'll just get the transmission when it comes out.

This is it. This is the daily driver. Otto 61
I have been loving this deck so fucking much. I'll still take the Pin Tonic to Baldface, and still ride the TF57 on the uber Utah blower stupid deep days, but I think this deck is gonna cover 90% of my resort riding. I had the 57 previously, and loved it, but it just wasn't quite enough... This deck fills those small needs/desires that the 57 left me feeling. Had it out on multiple pow days and groomer days. It just crushes it.
Quivering is fun, but I think my days of board after board are done, and I'm sold on this thing and have my other, few days a year, needs covered as well, with other Koruas.
