And like others have already said, there are so many good brands and decks out there. I enjoy a lot of Burton boards, but if you can, you should definitely check out a demo day at a resort near you if possible. Try to get in with a local shop and attend a test-fest or similar.
I appreciate it thank you
I checked out signal and endeavor boards since they have the channel
Signal yuki pro is kind of calling my name but I wonder how it performs versus higher end burton boards
The magnetraction and frostbite edges marketing really has me brainwashed
Same thing with the channel providing a ‘skate like’ ride
The signal boards have some cool options, endeavor seems pretty solid too but they seem to be very park or powder oriented only
What are some of your favorite boards all time? All brands wise
It’s difficult for me because it’s easy to pigeon hole myself since I try be quite ‘minimalist’ and be a 1 board type of guy but as I get older I do dream about owning more boards but I just don’t want to have a multiple deck quiver where some decks just get no love at all
For my type of riding the antler has been doing me wonders thus far but every shop I’ve been to, Burton or local ski shop, the shop guys usually point me towards the custom x being my next step which sort of pigeon holed my mental desire to that board
Most of the guys I’ve met here are huge burton lovers on the east coast and I never really get much love from people in person to branch out, only online. A lot of feedback for never summer + unions + random boot companies that seem to go mush quite quickly
So basically I’m just afraid to spend money on something I won’t like, isn’t a safe bet quality wise, and will take up room in the closet and not receive love on the mountain
I’ve tried a few other items from Burton like the blossom and I just absolutely hated it it was so flimsy so I’m in a tough spot mentally for what’s right for me, the used antler was calling my mind but it seems stupid to me to spend 250 on a 7 year old board even if it is barely used the materials age and the technology improves severely that I think even a lower spectrum board could be a better ride but being that the antler does me very well on the daily I am quite ignorant on it
Deep in the back of my head there is a voice just telling me to get another antler because of how much I love this freaking board that I have but I know there is better out there or so I hope
Re: Check out my new...
brother, it's gonna be okay
although you're willing to expand, you are stuck in the burton bubble and it's hard to see outside
if this is your one shot & you can never buy another board, sure, hunt down an antler. Otherwise, find something intriguing and pull the damn trigger. Or keep riding your antler, don't do any more base grinds, and actively look into demos in your area. I think your best bet for a breakthrough is to physically slide around on some other shit.
have you tried a gilson?

I can’t tell if you’re trolling or just that out of touch, but “Snapita” hasn’t been a thing for a while and they make some great boards.Vailsucksass wrote: Sun Dec 29, 2024 7:38 am One thing I do know for sure is I will never buy a snapita

I honestly learned my lesson to never do a base grind on any board ever again, or is that silly?
I will attend some demos this season for certain, I’d always avoid those days as it’s a mess on the mountain
There is quite a lot of new boards from all brands that do call my attention but the Burton bubble is hard to burst, it’s the damn EST binding tech that has me brainwashed because I love it
Re: Check out my new...
I’ve broken more Burtons than any other brand. You’ve made it hard to want to help you.Vailsucksass wrote: Sun Dec 29, 2024 7:38 amOne thing I do know for sure is I will never buy a snapita
a bit of taper, a lot of camber
