Any recommendations on a men’s boot for a US 6.5/7 size foot (Mondo 249/252).

I’ve been riding with the Vans Luna Ventana Pro in a US 8 womens, Mondo 245. A part of me is wondering if they’re too small, but I’ve managed 25 days in them, but the liner harness has broken away from the shell.

I’m in the UK so seriously struggle to find places to try on boots, I think a US7 could work which opens up a bunch of mens boots. I was keen on the infuse but it’s so hard to source in that size unfortunately.

I don’t seem to be the only one with this issue, what are people doing?

Many of us don't have local shops to try on gear. We see what others previously liked and see if theres any overlap or just recommendations. Then We buy things online and pay the postage to return stuff or just resell and try to get our money back.

I guess some lucky folks have an easier time than others. The rest of is It seems, just keep trying different brands and boots until we finally find one that works and hope they don't change it, and when they do we load up several seasons worth of whatever old shit we can get. Once in a while something new catches our eye and we stray, with varying results.

And even when we find something that works, often times folks customize them up with special insoles, or building up the liners with foam, or whatever else to make it work.

Idk if that's what kind of answer you were looking for, but that's how it seems to me.

I'm in size 7.5 Deeluxe XVs and like them so far. Pretty sure they also come in smaller sizes. Definitely heatmold the liner though, that thing got me a massive blister in the first few days.

none of the shops in helsinki order smaller mens boots than us8, burton does do smaller but cant deal with those shoes so its pretty bad for people with 24.5mondo shoesizes. and im 183cm 6ft + 85kg so all shop people laugh about it :DDDD

I'm more or less in your situation, feet size-wise.
I'm like 247/248 Mondo.
I'm using US7 boots, now I'm using Salomon, they are narrow in the ankle area, but it required me a little bit of fitting by a ski service to improve the fit (aftermarket insole and other things).
Can't complain.
They are offering boots for quite a while that have an harness that should prevent/mitigate the heel lift:
https://www.boafit.com/en-us/snowboard/ ... de/str8jkt

Right now I'm using a Salomon Hi-FI boot (speed lace), and I have a brand new pair of Salomon Lo-Fi boots, with lace and this str8jkt combo, but I haven't tried on the hill, so far.

Can't speak for other brands, but Northwave and I think Deeluxe make boots also for 240/245 mondopoint.
I don't know the fit.

I'm curious about also Ride, Vans and DC, but the issue is that no one keep boots under US8 in stock, so I had to order mine online (I ordered also a pair of K2 but didn't fit me, so I returned them).
But I think with my two pair of Salomons, I'm covered for some seasons (they are high end, rugged boots).

I've had several pair of the decade boots. Its probably my favorite out of their line up. Runner up being the Domain. Decade has more articulated upper so its a bit more flexible than the Domain, but stiffer than the freedom.

The caveat here is I don't have the current version of the decade which is a redesign from the last one I got.

But it's still the boot I'd be looking to buy if I were me, which I am.

Thought I'd update here.

I actually got a chance to try some different boots during my latest trip. I tried a bunch of different boots (Ride, K2, ThirtyTwo), but ultimately settled on Vans being the best fit for my feet. with just the liner done up, I get zero heel movement, with every other brand, I seemed to get some even with the boot done up fully.

I'm currently riding a Vans Luna Ventana Pro in 24.5cm (so US Women's 8). It's doable, but the fit has always been a touch snug and after 25 days or so, they aren't getting any bigger. I tried a 25cm Vans Aura Pro (mens) and the width is a bit of a better fit for my foot, so I bit the bullet and just ordered the last UK 6 Vans Infuse I could find, I'll report back, I guess after a few trips I'll see if this is a mistake!
