For some reason, I really want a plain blue jacket for next season. I hadn't seen anything about Skyline outerwear until it popped up on the Tribute Lounge,

Super cheap for Americans. Weird pitzips and the cuffs don't cinch though. All the guys who get it for free to promote claim the cuffs still work great. I haven't had any experience with them.

I have one of these and I thought the cuffs might be a deal breaker because I typically cinch velcro cuffs tight over my gloves. But after wearing the Fuse 3L 5-6 days I actually like the non-velcro cuffs a lot. It remains to be seen if I'll still like them on a full pow day, we'll see. I like the jacket a lot though, especially the hood/collar configuration, and the water/windproof/breathability seems equal to my Hover Gore Pro jacket. I would caution though, that the fit is a tad more slim fitting than AK or Volcom for example. I wear Large in both AK Hover and Volcom Guch/Guide, and the Large in the Skyline Fuse is a little more snug through the hips for sure.

The cuffs on my Airblaster 3L beast jacket drive me mental, they are really difficult to get over my mitts and I can’t wear Kincos with it.

This seems like a decent deal for $500 shipped, seems like an @Spenser color!

semi related, received this a few weeks ago but hadn't had chance to unbox it yet.
only ordered it because @eleveneightnate posted a code (thanks!) - was always curious about volcom based on what I've heard here

this is the most tech shell I've ever seen.

I tried on that Guide jacket a few weeks ago. It is really nice, but the fabric was a little stiff for my liking.

yeah, it's def more stiff than my other two shells, but I think that's a feature, not a flaw?

my other 2 goretex shells are way softer less crinkly, but when it gets really windy, I can feel it cut through

I tried it on back to back with the Guch stretch Gore. I don't know the denier ratings off the top of my head, but the Guide might be more durable.

Guch has stretch, is great for drier conditions or if you need the extra mobility when hiking, splitting, etc.
Guide does not have stretch, but feels a bit burlier and will be better if you’re getting wet a lot. It doesn’t soak up nearly as much water as the Guch once the DWR coating inevitably wears off and needs reapplication.
I ride both jackets about the same throughout the season.
