Not the Devun Walsh model... but when I inquired about getting a custom Vantage, Rob said that the built in Canada cores were traditional camber with no rocker at the ends. The pre-built Vantage has a multi-camber/camber 2.0 profile (aka softer in the middle and easier to flex) with small bits of rocker at the ends.

All the old option stuff was sold off long ago.

Endeavor has always been pressed in China, but they did have two presses at their HQ for prototyping and team decks. Rob though was the person that knew how to press decks and when he left Endeavor he bought the equipment from them and moved them to their present location and then started Wired. I'm pretty sure when Endeavor owned the presses they were located up in Squamish or Pemberton, and then after the sale, they moved their offices to Van city and brought Airhole and Sandbox all into the same offices....

I'll have to checked Wired out next time I'm in Vancouver. I noticed they have a store front in Kitsilano when I was there a couple weekends ago, but couldn't make the time to swing out that way. Van's one of my favorite cities, so I'll be back. And someday I'll finally do that Whistler trip lol.

My understanding was that the Vancouver made decks were also stiffer, or maybe it's just the profile making a subjective difference. I rode a China pressed Vantage 154 a few days and actually thought it was a decent board, not very stiff mind you. I'd be interested in demo'ing a 158 vs a United Shapes Deep Reach, I don't need all the extra width of the Deep Reach but like the idea of 20mm taper and mid wide with a decent sized nose for a resort pow deck.

Since we're talking about lower mainland pressed decks, anybody have any experience with KNWN or Spline? KNWN is having a sample sale that I'm really going to try and make it to since I'll be in the area (well, Vancouver I mean) on the weekend.

I suppose I could check the stamp on mine

Got the HPS Nakai "EP" 169. "Made in China" stamped into the base near the tail.

From Salomon's published "list of suppliers"*, I am guessing the factory is "Composite Tech Company Limited, No. 18, First Huaxia Road, Qiaotou Dong Guan China”

(Well, not guessing. I googled each company in that list that is marked "outdoor" and cross referenced with US import shipping records. That's the only one that is sending "skis and snowboards" into the US. Also makes Rossingol.)
