BINDINGS
Re: BINDINGS
I don't know if anything has changed given the way they shifted their sizing, but highbacks & heel loops were always the same size. For 10s you *should* be in medium, and you'll definitely want M straps.

Re: BINDINGS
My dilemma is that I'm not sure if I rode Mediums or Larges. It was the last day and when my binding broke we just used the extra set in the cat and I'm unsure what size that was. Jeff gave me a set of Larges. I wish I would have paid more attention but the last day is always hectic because of the heli transfer.

Based upon strap adjustments I just made, I believe I was on Mediums... Wonder how much difference there will be?

Re: BINDINGS
Don't want to rain on your parade, but as someone who's in between sizes in Unions (although I've never tried the Falcor base plates), there's enough of a difference that I've never bought them because the M feel too small and the L too large. I can ride on them for demos, and whatnot, but never felt a great fit for the boots I've tried them with so far.pow_hnd wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 1:11 pm Based upon strap adjustments I just made, I believe I was on Mediums... Re: BINDINGS
I'm in 10.5 Photons and large Ultras with the heelcup all the way in and perfectly centered heel/toe. I could definitely go to the next setting out if i wanted to be more heel-biased and I still have 2 notches left in both straps to expand out to, too.pow_hnd wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 1:11 pm Based upon strap adjustments I just made, I believe I was on Mediums... Outer boot measurements of my Photons are exactly 12" long x 4.75" at the widest part of the toes. Binding footbed measurements are 10.25" long x 5.25" wide between the toe straps in the furthest position forward and 4" between the heelcup bolts.
The only massive difference I've found between M and L in Unions is the Strata, which has a huge baseplate in the large so I always try to fit in the mediums in those. They dwarf my large Ultra baseplates.

Re: BINDINGS
I had M ultra's with 11 vans for a very short time. Could barely get the toe strap clicked in one notch LOL. You're right, the med strata is perfect for me as well.eleveneightnate wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 1:50 pmI'm in 10.5 Photons and large Ultras with the heelcup all the way in and perfectly centered heel/toe. Re: BINDINGS
echo all of the above. 10 boots should be squarely in a M. at 10.5 I go L, and can squeeze into a M if necessary (have some older frankened M Falcors. thinking about it now, they probably have L straps).
side note, I demoed the new Falcor today. didn’t notice a huge difference from my previous gen ones i was riding for most of the other demos.

Re: BINDINGS
You have "M" or "L" underneath baseplates - is the designation of the size of the bindings.pow_hnd wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 12:50 pm My dilemma is that I'm not sure if I rode Mediums or Larges. Different models have different bases .. I personally use size Large, and when I first buckled up in Falcor, I found the base so large that they would be completely sufficient in size M...
Baseplates, ankle and toe straps, gas pedals are differents
Highbacks and buckles are universal
Re: BINDINGS
I could use/have tried both L and M in Union, 9.5 Salomons, but I like the strap position better with the heelcup all the way out (is what I'm imagining, and it used to end up there anyways:p), so M it is. Can depend on type of strap and instep height, so can't say for sure. The L I tried were old models Force and Contact and I probably downsizes some and changed boots, and new Ultras/Falcors are just different in comfort level too.

the strap position relative to heelcup/highback does not change when you adjust the heelcup in and out.
same bolt holding strap through same hole in heelcup in to same holes on highback.
