Thanks! Dispatch bibs look good, and those were an option but I wasn't sure if they have vents on the outside. Now when I look at some photos it appears they have small vents also on the outside. And outside vents are a must for me. I previously had Volcom Rain gore bibs, but those were too hot to split in most conditions.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 10:03 pm 686 Dispatch is my default rec when someone wants stretchy bibs. They're just so good.

Re: OUTERWEAR
Untracked are tougher with heavier fabric (80D vs 50D) than Snowdrifter, with Gore-Tex and of course more expensive. Looks like similar to Powslayer, so maybe an updated version.sunokeru wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 8:25 pmHad the Pata Powslayer bibs for a couple of seasons. Liked them them a lot. Not sure whether they were proper stretch material, but great fit and mobility while still being streamlined/not too baggy.Tubermeister wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 1:27 pm Does anyone have any experience with Patagonia Snowdrifter bibs? I am looking for stretchy pants for mostly splitboarding, but want to avoid anything too tight and would like to still look like a snowboarder. Burton would be an option of course, but the prices are quite a lot higher. I don't want to go full soft shell (I think). Also the Stormstride pants from Patagonia are an option.
Personally looking at the Untracked bibs.
How did you find the sizing with Powslayers?
I feel like the fabric on Snowdrifters and Stormstrides would be stretchier and maybe more breathable, since it's thinner. Unfortunately I don't currently live close to a Patagonia retailer, so can't really compare. But I have handled Snowdrifters and Stormstrides previously, of course on different occasions.
Re: OUTERWEAR
I have last years snowdrifter and they are more softshellish than a regular shell. Also quite breathable and you definately have to layer up on colder temps.I’d say they are good basic bibs and have breathable upper which to me is a must if you’re going touring. Durability might be an issue altough I haven’t done any major damage in few weeks that I’ve worn them.

Re: OUTERWEAR
This softshellish pant with still some waterproofing is what I am after. And these would be used almost exclusively when touring. I am kind of looking for bibs, but I'm not fully set on that, so pants are fine as well.DanDeLion wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 12:29 am I have last years powdrifter and they are more softshellish than a regular shell. Also meant snowdrifter, sorry
Re: OUTERWEAR
Powslayers were true to size. Fit was middle of the road, maybe a tiny bit on the slim side. Definitely slimmer fit than my Arc'teryx Stinger (which were huge in the thighs and butt), but not restrictive at all. Should be great for touring.Tubermeister wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 12:02 amUntracked are tougher with heavier fabric (80D vs 50D) than Snowdrifter, with Gore-Tex and of course more expensive. For reference, I am ~5'9" and 155-160lbs.

I'm 5'11" and around 180-185lbs. I have tried the XL Stormstride pants last year briefly and I felt those were quite nice and loose (I took a pic of the pants and size, like I usually do when I like something), but of course that was just a quick try without any other snowboarding gear. But now when I look at the size charts and all, I feel like XL would be too big. Of course the Stromstride is "slim fit", so that might be it. For reference large Burton is usually good and I had the Volcom bibs in XL, but those were bit too loose around the waist.

Re: OUTERWEAR
love my dispatches, you can open the outside zippers easily to get some air flow in. i've worn mine in warmer conditions and was fine, def hotter than normal pants but i love the fit too much to wear anything else. the mobility and durability of these bibs has been fantastic for me.Tubermeister wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 11:50 pmThanks! Re: OUTERWEAR
Yep, they have inner and outer thigh vents. Best bibs I've ever had! The stretchiest, too.Tubermeister wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 11:50 pmThanks! Oops, accidentally omitted that. I had size medium (am medium in almost everything).Tubermeister wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 2:26 amThank you!
