Besides some nose/tail shaping, the Pow Wrench split is identical to my Spliff. Kinda fun board for goofing around in good conditions.

I like the stretch cuff sometimes, got one of those Mine77 stretch pants. It's not that great with boa, but for powsurfing and normal lacing it's awesome, also stays put so I don't need to pull it up from under the ankle strap all the time. I cut the stretch and hook thing off the gaiters on my bibs, and just stuff the material in the boot. Kind of a coincidence, as I got it stuck in a wire anchor in a storm, and ripped some, but it still works, and is much easier.

It's funny (peculiar not haha) to me that the pow wrench has stayed in the line for multiple seasons, mine is the only one I've seen in the wild. It's a fun board but it's on the chopping block since it doesn't get ridden much.
IMO the fish and the PW are boards that many riders buy thinking about the “big snow Wednesday”. and then they never use them… (and we never see out there)
I wanted to buy both. In the end I bought the fish and then I looked for the PW again thinking that their slantwall (I don't know if they are called that now) sideways would help with a ride that was not as unstable as the fish in hard snow... (I know what It's not a board for that but I always liked to use it. even freriding with hard snow between rocks) In the end I ended up with C2 from lib
C2 & purepop/vans infuse/skate tech/ AK …

there are, no bad snow

Such an exhausting question.

Stick with your Malavitas and buy the Swath boots you’ve been asking about. I’d go Custom over Custom X for a more balanced setup. StepOn EST has been worked on pretty relentlessly, but there’s a reason B’s only dropping one model. I’d say hold off, for now.

I am thinking of running a custom + genesis est step on + swath
Mainly so all mountain resort riding on groomers with a lot of park and free styling throughout, love to cruise the powder and between trees but it is far and few on the east coast unfortunately..
Either the custom or custom x with that setup I’m thinking although I am thinking the custom x may be too stiff for the genesis/swath combo.. I think if they made cartels in est step on it’d be clutch

Will there be any other type of est step on asides from genesis?

Are step on boots and bindings heavier?
I feel conflicted as I need new boots but just bought new malavitas last year before they off’d them…
Honestly I think that's a good idea. I have the normal reflex with ruler setup that I use on my daily driver. Extremely versatile and easy to use in an all mountain resort setting. Keep in mind that you limit yourself with the EST to only channel boards, But you risk the chance of over rashing your top sheet with a re-flex.

The boots are slightly bottom-heavier, But the bindings are either equivalent or slightly lighter than most of my other binding setups.

I'm currently searching for the re-flex X and probably a photon or ion boot to match - hopefully looking to find something slighly used by someone who thought the setup was too stiff and rigid.

The white custom is the way to go. Black bases are the best.

You’re acting like a fucking child. At first it was fun to mess with you, but now your sense of entitlement is just annoying and shitting all over the spirit of this thread.

You got some birthday money burning a hole in your pocket, homie? I sure hope this isn't your normal level of purchase anxiety.

We're all nit pickers and gear nerds but more for of the fun of it, talking to talk, opinionating and whatnot. No need to take any of it too personally.

What part of boots mania are you not understanding
I guess the part where the anxiety of decision making over things that barely matter is overriding your ability to read the room just enough to not make a spectacle of yourself. We're just here having fun. You don't seem to be having fun. And now it's become 'a thing'.

Get outside. Go ride.

read the room, bud.

do you see anyone else making requests? if folks with access to catalogs feel comfortable sharing them, they will. notmikebuckley gave in to your first request, explained why it’s not a simple task, and you come back asking for more.

just chill.

if your current Swath’s are failing (that was the issue iirc), hit up B direct, maybe they still have some current stock they can send as a replacement, or give you some intel on what’s coming.
