Mervin rep had some kill boards, so I scored a Terrain Wrecker (miscut above left contact point on the nose) and popped some new Atlases on it.

(Horizon is not new, just there as a thirst trap to try and get a friend to go ride early season)

Man, I love the look of that horizon. US next addition most likely.
Re: o drives - yeah it's a gamble, but I got my second pair of acerras for them specifically (possibly my favorite boot of all time).

I picked up a lightly used pair CHEAP off marketplace. I don't care for boa, but hoping I like them.

Two hours after the Pin Tonic arrived I get DMed by Peter Bauer (Amplid) asking me if I want a new proto to take to Japan… Not allowed to show it off though.

Two new splitboards, Weston Backwoods 163 vs. Burton Hometown Hero 162. Only keeping one, haven't decided which. Gut feeling is I'd like the Hometown Hero better as a daily (little burlier, more switch-friendly), but Backwoods might be a better split (little more nose, earlier early rise, bit softer but not floppy in the nose).
I previously owned a Backwoods split (and solid). I know I like it, but I don't love it. Little soft in the nose for me, wish it had full camber through the tail. It's a solid performer, just like... very reliable but not spectacular to me. I just replaced it with another Backwoods because I got a solid price, and I honestly couldn't find a split that stood out to me as a clearly superior option (maybe a Stranda Shorty 164).
Got a good price on the Hometown Hero and ben interested in the board for years, but they don't make a 162 in the solid (closest is a 160) only the split. It's a bit heavier than the Weston (about 1.5 lbs, although Weston doesn't have the Spark Pucks which are like another 10 oz, so bit less than a lb difference).

The Hometown Hero has SERIOUS camber. Looks like about 13 mm. I was surprised / impressed, that's Korua level camber.

@kimchi I just spent 2 days on my HTH split doing an avy class in Whistler. Fucking loved it, felt great touring and I think I finally got my downhill stance figured out and it felt really good on the mixed surface ride down.

Stance options of the HTH for me. Appears from the pic you can get more setback on it.
