So anyone tried regular Karakoram bindings yet? Guess they ride the same as quiver bindings.

yep, I've used the Continuums and Freerangers, same binding only diff is Continuums can't be used for splitting. They ride the same, I couldn't tell any diff in flex, and I ride in hardpack/ice most of the time.

Continuums are good, have had a pair for two seasons now. Problem free except for a broken toe buckle. The ankle strap is comfy. You can probably find them on sale.

My friend Mark rides for them, sure, but I know him to not use products he doesn't actually like, especially since he rides at a high level. He's been on their regular bindings for a handful of years now and is definitely a fan. That is just to say they are legit, but still going to be preference

I like that when I travel and carry a solid and split board, I only need one set of bindings. But even if I didn't split board, I'd use the freerangers/continuums... II get more out of the Free Ranger's split sidewall construction than I do with NOW skate tech or Salmon's shadowfit

only gripes with Karakoram bindings: minor is that the fit+finish is not as good as other bindings (made in usa v china?) there are definitely irregularities with the plastic molding, but all cosmetic, but major is that the metal hardware (screws, washers) - come off at the most in inopportune times and that you need a metric tool/allen key instead of a philips screwdriver.

They look like old school Romes with gigantic Now bushings underneath. Kinda cool. I typically don't like so much metal in a binding, though (for the reasons you listed).

I really want to try a set of Union T-Rice bindings... The Mini disc really has piqued my interest.
