I'm still pissed off that I didn't manage to try a Ravine after reaching out to about 15 shops, in two continents, last year 😂 Super happy with my Kazu, but I still have that "what if" itch, for the Ravine.
I'll cut you a deal on my 158 Select 8-)

Same offer (thinking like $100 plus shipping) on a regular ravine 155 I think from 23. Only ridden twice.

Lol if you really want one hit me up. I'll hunt around for one and hold it until you're next in the States.
Appreciate it, bud. I'd like to demo one. That's what I was looking for last year, when contacting shops. If I just wanted to buy one, that'd have been way easier, hahaha. Same with the K2 Instrument. Didn't have luck finding one to demo. I think I'm gonna stick with the Kazu for a while. Super enjoyable ride, so far.

What happens if you leave a pig out in the rain?

heading to an on-snow demo tomorrow. should get some good peeps.
totally. excited to see what they come up with. his gnu hyper was a great board. feel like RIDE has been on a good tear lately so i’m particularly interested in their new lineup. enjoy the demo & do follow up!
no Blake Board for another season, most likely. maybe a late release next year. he’s mostly between the Moderator & Deepfake, so it’ll be some hybrid/offshoot of those two. only some binding updates from Ride, no changes on the board front.

Nitro has a pricepoint companion board to the Alternator coming for the common man. didn’t get on any of their boards, but the rep confirmed with me that the Alternator didn’t ride like he expected it to either, and really needs some gas behind it. I also put a request in for a 162-ish Banker that he said he’d pass along 🤞🏼

Jared has an Arbor board that I didn’t get too up close with, but it looked very Alternator, even graphically. Red’s board is still cooking, probably a season out.

hopped on the Cartel X EST StepOn & Union StepOn back to back. I think the Union will sit nicely between the re:Flex & EST differences in feel, or at least give non-Channel riders some more dampening. Cartel X EST felt a little off to me. the extra movement the EST gives you is quite nice, but it was a bit of a jolt then leaning back into a stiffer highback. also wore the new Wavelength (?) X boot. B boots still don’t agree with my feet, but the softer flex was nice, and they look clean.

the Goop HPS board was fun, but a bit too wide for me. they also widened up the Louif, which I’m not hyped on as much anymore.
midwest is best

Any leaks on next years AK colorways? I've seen a few IG posts, but would be interested in more. Trying to decide if I buy this year, or wait.

Not a 25/26 question per se, but any of the industry heads jumped on this or next year's Jones Rally Cat at demos? Something about that shape and vibe are speaking to me as a potential rad dad / fuck around vehicle. Something mellow to chase around toddlers and fuck around in buttering, but still directional and sturdy enough to enjoy rest of the hill. Currently trying to fill that niche with the Burton Free Thinker, that thing is too demanding for my limited freestyle skillset beyond bigger straight airs, and I don't dig the way it turns.

I had this on the TV while I was working on something yesterday. Rally cat is at 22:22

Sounds like it's a softer twinnish board, as expected, but I like what he says about "dull" boards for this application. I think people often see energy & pop as a linear scale - more is not simply better

Lol full circle. The brief mention in this Tribute vid is what kicked off my interest in the board in the first place.

Something about that deck's vibes just pique my interest. Nidecker buddy of mine said he raced one at the Dirksen Derby, so feels like it's got some versatility.
