Re: BINDINGS
Can you not swap to the regular Burton buckes on the Genesis hammock straps?
Re: BINDINGS
I've had the DT ladder freeze on the backside once or twice, conditions have to be just right for it to happen

Re: BINDINGS
I don't know what bindings they come with (or if they're a newer generation), but removable DoubleTake ratchets exist.Spenser wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 12:31 pmDouble takes are built ineleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 11:23 am Can you not swap to the regular Burton buckes on the Genesis hammock straps?
The first gen Hitchhikers I bought came with integrated straps, which seemed like... a very bad idea for splitboard bindings. But these currently live on my Sparks. I can't remember where I sourced them (Rider Services might have sent them to me?).
Re: BINDINGS
My Hitchikers have stiffer hammock straps with integrated DT buckles (look like genesis but feel like cartel), they also have those shitty cap straps that came between gettagrip and the new super grip cap straps. I’m going to switch to some spark pillow line toes when I get around to it and a spare set of cartel ankle straps. It’s been really difficult sourcing B ankle and toe straps recently.
Re: BINDINGS
FWIW looks like as of this season they sell parts online now, for cheaper than I would have expected.scrub wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 3:46 pm My Hitchikers have stiffer hammock straps with integrated DT buckles (look like genesis but feel like cartel), they also have those shitty cap straps that came between gettagrip and the new super grip cap straps. Re: BINDINGS
@kimchi the toe straps have been OOS for forever.
Re: BINDINGS
Didn’t know they had removable DT ratchets, I’m out of the loop on B
And man, this discussion reminds me how nice it was to be a dealer and have access to any little part you could want, in any color, for so cheap. It was fun putting together my ideal binding combo back then, but that’s what I now can’t stand after moving to drives

Re: BINDINGS
Actually I think the NOW strap game has come a long way and what they offer currently is very usable.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 5:01 pmThis is what's holding me back from Nows haha. "They have zero adjustment and you need to spend $100 on Burton straps and ladders to make them usable, but they're great!"
The first 4/5 years, yea their strap/buckles/ladders were pretty rough.
I have just gotten so used to the Burton straps I still just change them out.
I don’t care what anyone says, nobody can touch Burtons strap game at all.
Also FWIW, I rock sz 10 DC boots and have no centering/overhang issues at all, the adjustment of the disc gets me centered just fine.
